Cassy takes Kate's offer

Cassy decided it would be better to at least have something covering her front. She scooted to the edge of the booth, both hands covering her nether regions. Kate bent down and picked up the soiled jeans. Upon standing, she held them out for Cassy to take. She reluctantly pulled her hands away from her legs to grab the damp garment.

Kate spoke, "Just take those to the back, blot the stains with some paper towels and soak them in the sink in cold water. After a few minutes, scrub the stains with some dish soap if you need to. When you're done, hang them up to dry."

As Cassy turned to walk away, Kate spoke again, "Oh, and take these too." Kate threw the pile of clothes that had accumulated on the table onto the jeans. "Just put these somewhere out of sight. I'll meet you in the back in a few minutes to give you the apron."

Lucy stood back up, now overly conscious of where her back was facing. She still isn't so sure about this whole ordeal. Only her bra, shirt, and apron kept her covered, and the brisk air continued to remind of that fact. While not exactly pleasant, Lucy could live with flashing her ass to her two friends a few times, but if a customer showed up... she'd rather keep her mind off of that.

At this point, Kate was just about finished cleaning up the spill on the floor and was wringing out the mop. She had already gone to the back and given Cassy the extra apron.

Kate looked over at Lucy and spoke up, "Don't worry Lucy, I'm sure everything will be fine."

As if to defy her, a clap of thunder shook the diner, and the lights flickered for a moment. Kate practically jumped into Lucy's arms at the sound. She wasn't much of a fan of thunder and lightning. Embarrassed, she stood back down and apologized to Lucy. The torrent of rain poured down harder than ever outside.

Cassy poked her head out of the kitchen with a concerned look on her face.

"Something up, Cassy?" Lucy asked.

Cassy answered, "Well, that thunder was so sudden, I accidentally..."
