Listen carefully residents of Lanard,

I am Sir Garrick Heselrig your new Lord of Lannard and I am here to send you the greetings of your king.

His majesty Edward I in his kindness and mercy has decided to pardon all participants of the rebellion. I repeat it is not necessary to hide anymore as your king has offered a general amnesty for all war crimes in the past!

However the people of England have suffered a lot due to this treachery. Therefore it was necessary to raise the taxes to 150% as part of reparations.

Your king in his wisdom has also introduced the law "Jus Primae Noctis" to reward his most loyal subjects. Any new marriages has to be registered in advance and the ruling lord or any persons chosen by him have the right to bed the bride.

Your King's benevolence is not endless and any transgressions of the law will be punished harshly. Any offence against the king's soldiers or his agents will be judged as an offence against the king himself.

New Lords and sheriffs have already been appointed to the Scottish counties to observe the king's law.
