Well, she did get her out.

"Ah damn it all," Sparrow muttered as her sense of honor overrode her good sense. Sparrow brought her gun up and pointed it to Glaroon. The way the boat was moving about no way she'd get a clear shot, but she didn't have to. She pointed it in Shanna's opponent's general direction and fired.

The shot missed Glaroon's head by a foot, but it was close enough to make the man look. Shanna launched into a furious renewed ****, taking advantage of the man's confusion. Glaroon barely had time to counter the first couple strikes before Shanna's blade pierces his belly. Sparrow barely had time to register her effort had done some good before she grabbed hold of the wheel again in order to forcefully stabilize it. She hadn't even noticed Shanna run up to her.

"You have my thanks, Sparrow. Can you handle the wheel?" Shanna asked.

"I'll get it working right," Sparrow assured. "You got a battle to win right?"

Shanna smiled at the younger woman. "Aye. Keep yourself alive, little Sparrow." Shanna gave her a salute with her cutlass before darting back to the fray.

Sparrow for her part hoped Shanna killing the captain would bring some kind of quicker resolution to the fight. At least until someone with a bit more nautical knowledge could steer this crazy boat!
