Chapter 5
by Odysseus
How does the demon respond?
You may be her creator but you are not her master
“My creator misunderstands. Thou brought me to this world, thou give’th me flesh and form, but thou may’st not order me around as if I were some thrall. I am above thee, O creator. I could have destroyed thee like I did this village, but choose not too as thou had gave’th me life."
Damn! The demon has a drive of her own. She should have been bonded to your will. Eisheth starts walking towards you with a smile on her lips.
“Does my creator understand our relationship? Or must I explain things more simply when speaking towards a human?”
There was another hex in the spellbook that you recall. It is meant to reaffirm the authority that the summoner has over the summoned. It should be able bind the demon to your will. No! You remember the description of the spell clearer now. It will allow you to take control of the demon before things get out of hand.
You muster up what little courage you have left. You might only get one chance at this need to be sure that you get it right.
You take a deep breath, before shouting the spell: “Redde putidorum moecha codicillos!”
You feel your heart race and power course through your soul. Eisheth looks horrified as she hears the spell. You hope to God that it works.
Did it work?
