Chapter 6

What next?
Continue
You and he settle down in front of the fire. You sit down on a downed tree, staring into the fire with your sword across your lap and your shield leaning down next to your leg. You gaze passed the fire to look at him. He's directly across from you, snuggled down into his bedroll, using your bedroll as a pillow. He didn't even ask. You roll your eyes with a sigh. There was no use arguing with him, it would just make unnecessary noise. You are kind of tired though....maybe you should go over to him and take your bedroll. You walk over to him and tower over him.
Standing at this angle, so close, you get a good look at the sleeping mage. He is laying on his side, one arm under the bed roll and the other close to his face. Red lashes rest gently against full cheeks. His petal thin lips are slightly a gap, breathing softly and inaudibly. You let your eyes rove farther down. His bedroll has slid down slightly, revealing his lightly clothed top. He must have taken off his battle gear to be more comfortable, he's only in his under armor which consisted of a light leather shirt, cut in almost the same fashion as his over armor. You squat down so you're somewhat level with his face. You pull off your gauntlet and reach your hand out towards him.
What should you do?

The Paved Road To Nowhere
Not all mages are the same
You're hired to accompany a mage. You thought it'd be all good and easy until you actually meet the person. Slaying beasts seems like a cup of tea, now. Your job is to get him to his destination safe and unharmed...and also loosen him up a bit. The job description didn't say to protect him from you, did it?
