A Marine

Posted at the end of the hall, crouched a man in a US Marine uniform. His urban camo did little to blend in inside of the apartment building. The guy was packing for war, she noticed several weapons in holsters, on straps, and clips and pouches galore all over his armor. His helmet had a blood stain from where he'd head butted someone she guessed. He had an M4 in his hands, and she could tell it was a special forces one, not his standard issue rifle. The scope and suppressor, the laser sight and some other modifications she couldn't name on it gave it away. He turned around as he backed up towards her door, then quickly dropped to a knee. She heard a loud scream and saw a futa come tromping down the stairs from the 5th floor, it's massive cock erect and dripping precum. The man squeezed the trigger and dropped it with one bullet, but Renée could hear more on the street and lower levels screaming in response.

The Marine checked doors as he kept retreating, frantically looking for an escape. He glanced back once, and she noticed his facial features finally. He had a few recent scars on his face, a knife wound that had almost hit his right eye, one on the cheek that looked like a bullet graze, and a busted nose. He had almost reached the apartment she'd looted, and she knew if he was cornered there, the futa's would probably break through the door, she glanced at Fenrir who whined urgently at her and kept looking at the door. Did she risk taking him in, or leave him to his fate? She didn't know if he was really a Marine, or a survivor that would put her in danger.
