Head straight in, with Milly

It went fine before, in fact if you'd been slower you might not of been able to save Milly. You both get out of the car each with a knife, glancing about as you head to the front doors. Pushing your way in to the semi darkness you pause a moment and turn to the stairs. Less than a day into the apocalypse and its already deserted, though perhaps being summer many have gone on holiday.
With the power off the stairs are the only option and you push open the door to the stairs and begun climbing them. Milly grips your hand as you pass the third floor and hear a bang coming from the corridor behind the door. But you continue upwards to the fifth of the six floors, the one Ellie lives on.
Just as you go to open the door, Milly tugs at your arm and nods to the window through the door.
In the darkness you can make out two or maybe three hunched figures standing beyond the door.
