Chapter 170 by Twistinger

How does Ian defuse the situation?

He proposes they share the room

"Guys, why don't we... just get the room that's left?" I suggested. "It's gotta be better than going home dejected, right?"

"Yeah, but..." Stephanie mumbled as she looked at the marbled floor. "Tonight was meant to be special."

"Honey, I'm not pleased things got this way either, but it's better than nothing," volunteered Simon. "We're all friends, aren't we? If things get a little awkward we could always turn off the lights."

Agreement was murmured as the group realized there was no better alternative. Jake and Andy looked a little disturbed, having never joined in a session like we had over spring break, but a hug and kiss from Corrine and Elizabeth convinced them.

Once the paperwork was settled and our credit refunded, we went upstairs to our room. A queen-sized bed stood at one side, mirrored by a fold-out couch in the other. A standard build for honeymooning couples, but with ten of us, it was going to be a cramped squeeze. After the staff came up to give us some extra mattresses there was barely any visible floor left.

"Well, nothing left for it," sighed Jake. "How're we going to decide who goes where?"

"What about Rock-Paper-Scissors?" suggested Andy. "It's straightforward enough, and doesn't give anyone an overt advantage."

The mood seemed to lift a little as some of the guys and girls made a comical show of baring their arms and clenching their fists. In short order, Corrine, Rachel, Andy, Simon and I were selected as the "combatants", with a luxurious bed for a night of lovemaking on the line.

How do the results turn out?
