You were part of the fleet that arrived at Earth over twenty years ago, in 2015, and initiated a full scale invasion of the planet. Technologically superior, you obliterated the human race and beat them into submission within six months.
Now that the war is over, you play a less active role but have an honary station within human society. Leaving you with quite a bit of freedom, but strict orders not to draw unneccessary attention to yourself or your more carnal desires. It's best for everyone, if the human race continues to believe that you are their saviour and only desire to aide them.

Exactly what kind of Alien are you?
The story takes place in the universe of XCOM 2. Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces that invaded earth and officially disbanded XCOM, the planet's last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered. Now the aliens rule earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface while concealing a sinister agenda below. People go missing without explanation or any serious investigation. There's rumours abound of a resistance group comprised of the old XCOM operatives, who are still fighting the aliens.
