Heading back to the cabin in silence

Millie just sits like that with her hands in her hands for what at least to me feels like a really long time, then finally she gets up and says:

"It is getting late. We should head back home."

We gather up our swimsuits, only then do I realise that we have been sitting on the beach naked all this time, then in silence and without making eye-contact we get dressed and pack up our things in the kayak. Millie climbs in, and I push it out until it is clear of the sandy bottom and floating on the water, then I climb in as well, and we paddle across the lake.

We return the kayak to the kayak center, then we start the drive back to the cabin, still in silence, then all of a sudden, Millie says:

"Matt, we need to resolve the matter of whether you fucked me or not. Mainly so you know whether you are still a virgin or not, but also for me to preserve my own sanity."

"I agree completely." I reply.

Then Millie says:

"I have a proposal for you."
