The bed around you was an ocean of mild white now that you could see it clearly. The aura of power pulsating in the room though lead you to glancing to the left and spotting it. There placed upon her beddstand and wrapped in cloth was the Eye of Calamity! Unguarded and where anyone could take it!

You scrambled out of the pack and flapped your wings until you were were up in the air again. Gliding over you landed on the fine carved wood tentatively, checking around you to make sure you weren't being watched. How could it be this easy? Surely there was more to this than just kneeling down and picking it up right? There had to be a catch. You were about to trigger some kind of trap, or be attacked by some guard animal or the Mage will spring out of nowhere suspecting you all along, something!

As you unraveled the cloth and finally could gaze upon the jewel itself you realized it was that easy. There at your knees was the Eye of Calamity. The purple gem seemed almost unassuming as it neither shinned nor reflected the light around it. You however knew better than that and the gem's power you found was the closest to feeling The Master's again. Different, but similar enough.

As you reached for the Eye however a sound stopped you moments before your clawed hands could touch it. The Princess' voice was echoing from the nearby doorway were steam was found wafting from beneath the bottom of the door. Steam could only mean there was water in there, water being warned to the point to create steam. After the possible weeks spent in the Umbral Wood anyone would have a desire to be clean. A spike of excitement shot through you as you realized the Princess was bathing in just the room over.

The aura of the Eye however drew your attention and you recalled your obligations. The entire point of your Quest was to retrieve the Eye of Calamity, you had it right here in your grasp! It was your ticket to redemption in the eyes of The Master, your greatest achievement. And yet you knew this was most likely your only chance of ever seeing royalty naked in your life. Someone as beautiful as Alexandria was surely a sight to see and the steam would only assist in hiding you. You could glimpse her body and make a break to the Eye! But what if you didn't have time?
