Let's go talk to mind controlers.

Jane says, “Let’s look around for another story, Jon’s not going anywhere for awhile.”

Jan wanders around the floor for a bit looking over each of the tables. Anime girls mingle with super-heroes, pop music stars chat up professional wrestlers, and knights are hitting on porn stars.

Jane suddenly feels the desire to go over and talk to one of the mind control tables. She walks to the far side of the room and see one man sitting amid a large group of hot looking women who are tending to his every desire.

Jane turns towards the camera, “We are here talking to the star of one of the popular ‘Mind Control’ stories here at Chyoo, Gerald Mackes of the ‘Angst’ storyline.” She turns toward the young man, “Hello, Gerald!”

“Hello Jane,” says Gerald calmly, “I’m glad to see you’ve taken an interest in me.”

“Well, to be honest, I’m not even sure why I came over here, you guys give me the willies.”

Gerald just smiles very slightly and says, “There’s no need for that, I’m just a regular person who happens to have a talent.”

Jane laughs, “Well, you do seem alright. Tell me, why do you think mind control stories are so popular?”

Gerald tells one of the young ladies surrounding him to get him some wine and answers, “Control. It’s all about control. It’s natural that people who like the idea of being able to choose a path in a story would also like to have that ability in life. Their stories reflect that.”

Jane asks, “Why are there so many different types of controllers? For example, in some the people being controlled are like zombies, while in others they become extensions of the controller.”

Gerald gives his little smile again, “Still others use a more subtle control, causing the controlled to be fully aware and conscious, but totally oblivious to the fact that they are under control.” He looks at Jane slyly. “To answer your question; it’s all about the what the writers want, puppets or robots or whatever. Some people can’t imagine, or don’t like the idea of allowing a controlled character to have any control over themselves, others like a more lively story.” He smiles broadly at Jane.

Jane looks down and is shocked to find she is naked from the waist up and is in the process of taking off her panties. She turns bright red and scrambles to cover herself up. The women surrounding Gerald giggle but quickly turn their attention back to him.

Jane gets up and starts to leave. Gerald waves her off, but not before giving her a good look. Jane just gets her clothes back on when Jon comes up. His clothes are ripped and torn, his hair is tussled, and he is wearing bright red lipstick that has been roughly smeared on.

“What the hell happened to you?” asks Jane.

“What the hell do you think happened? Inga! And I don’t want to even think about it, so don’t ask.” He says. “Let’s just go interview someone.” He looks over at Gerald, “What about him?”
