Once the refugees pass you finally reach the town of Zurch

The road is so jam packed with refugees that you can't squeeze past them so you and Annie sit by the side of the road watching the **** people leave their home of Zurch. The sick and injured are at the rear of the exodus, you see a suspiciously high number of burn injuries and people either dead or **** on the back of wagons. Still no one will speak to you or Annie, whatever happened to them scarred their souls.

You're only slightly surprised when Annie reaches over and rubs your cock before saying "doesn't it turn you on?"

"What?" You ask as you move her hand away as you're not really in the mood.

"The pain, the suffering, the blood, it's all reminders how fragile existence is and that it's not us that suffers but THEM."

"Who's them?" You ask

She smiles faintly "anyone that isn't us."

You stare at her for a moment contemplating what you have heard before the two of you return to watching the tide of misery continue to sweep past you.

Finally, when the road is clear you continue your journey to Zurch with Annie, trepidation at what you'll find dogging your every step.

It's a long walk to Zurch yet you don't meet anyone else on the road and part of you regrets not commandeering a horse but it would have invariably involved a battle with all the associated unwanted attention, besides it was unlikely a horse would walk back towards the event everyone is fleeing. Annie remains silent yet seems to be in a good mood and even tries to seduce you a couple of times until you eventually relent and allow her to give you a blow job at the side of the road but you will yourself to bless her with your seed as quickly as possible since you don't find it as satisfying as usual and want it over quickly.

Afterwards you continue once again in silence, in the stillness of the road you hear a ding and since there doesn't seem to be any risk of interruption as you walk (besides walking off the side of the cliff) you decide to take the time to check your current stats.

New spells: Cloak of Darkness - when cast while you are in shadows you can create a cloak of shadows to help hide yourself. Spell is automatically cancelled in direct sunlight.
Control vermin: when cast you can command vermin. The number that you can control at any one time is up to twice your level.
Shield: when cast your body is surrounded by a shimmering translucent barrier which can absorb up to 50 points of damage.
Upgrades:
You can summon more powerful undead.
Fear, The Power and Corruptor of the Innocent have greater duration, range and influence.

You don't understand, your level has doubled after only a few encounters, it just doesn't make sense. None of your opponents where of that high a level so how did you obtain such a jump in level? There is no immediate answer but when you check Annie she has similarly jumped in power despite being **** during the battle with spriggan. Annie is now a level 18 corrupted cleric with her existing spells increased (the power of her strengthen undead as well rather than causing them to flee, her healing spells either cure undead or hurt the living and instead of giving courage to her allies she can cause fear in her enemies). She can also now create darkness, detect magic, she can poision others through touch and finally she can weaken enemies.

Damn, her spells make her quite useful but how did you both jump in levels?

As you climb higher the sky darkens as day turns to night but a red glow in the distance ensures that you can still see, snow begins to fall which isn't unusual this high up the mountain yet this snow is black, when you pick up some of the black snow you realise that it's ash.

Eventually you reach a turn in the path and as you continue you find the red glow getting brighter until you see what remains of Zurch aflame.

"Isn't it wonderful!" beams Annie, "let's go and play!" she laughs as she skips gaily towards the ravaged town and the searing heat of the flames.

You follow, wondering what new horrors you will find in this shattered place and whether Sara and Lynn could possibly be unscathed amongst the carnage.
