Head home for a few days

You decide to try to let the events of the last few days boil over. It turns out though, that Tommy knew someone who worked with your father, so it isn't long before the events catch back up to you at home.

Your mother sits down with you one night and explains the problem. "You know, Tommy's uncle is your father's boss." She says.

You frown, trying to make excuses, but your mother just gives you a big hug. "Its ok. Your father was friends with Tommy's uncle's boss, so its not really going to impact his position. We just wanted to let you know that it did cause a bit of a scene at your father's work."

Your mother smiles at you and winks. "You know, your father used to 'experiment' when he was in college as well..." She blushes a bit and looks at you to gage your reaction.

"Really?" is all you can say.

"Yep. " Your mother says smiling. "He was pretty open to a lot of things back then." SHe laughs. "In fact, he still might be, for the right people..."

"What do you mean, the right people?" You ask. What is she getting at.

"Well, you have to be careful who you experiment with. The wrong people tell the wrong sort of stories. Your close friends, roommates, sometimes even family can be the right people or the wrong people." She says, looking a bit shy and unsure if she should be sharing this with you.

"I am not sure I follow you..." You say, becoming a bit nervous at this conversation.

Just then, your father knocks on the door. You see him wearing a nice shirt and tie and a pair of slacks. He's still quite handsome given his middle age and receding hair line. He gives you a tense smile and then looks at your mother. "Ready hun?" he says, smiling at her and then back to you. His eyes are more intense behind his glasses than you remember them being.

"Sure thing..." your mother says to your father, and then looks back at you. "Just think about what I said, and if you want to talk more, come to our room when we get back tonight.

You shrug, not sure what she's getting at, but you remember all the long nights sitting in your parents bedroom discussing homework or projects, so its nothing you are not used to.

Time passes, you take a shower and then ready for bed, when you realize your parents have just gotten home.
