A Glowing Bracelet

What you see is an expensive-looking bracelet made out of gold. You pick it up and examine it in more detail. On the inside you see runes, but you do not know the language (assuming that it is a language at all). On the outside the bracelet is encrusted with small purple gems. Each individual gem and the bracelet as a whole are glowing with purple light.

"Oooh, pretty!" Says one of the other waitresses as she sees your prize.

"Yes, it is." You agree as you check out the item’s name. "Unidentified Bracelet (Glowing Purple)? So it’s an unidentified item. Great." You sigh in annoyance. Equipping an item without identifying it first is allowed, but it is considered a terrible idea – there are some cursed items that are really hard to remove once you put them on. The purple glow betrays the fact that the bracelet is magical, but there’s no way to tell if its magic is positive, negative, or a mix of both.

"There are a couple of people in town that should be able to identify it for you." Reminds you one of your colleagues, a redhead half a head taller than you.

"I’ll get to that – after the raid is over. For now let’s focus on living through this event. Oh, and don’t mention the bracelet when other people might hear us – the last thing we need is to give some idiot 'hero' the idea that he can get magical items by killing us!" You tell your companions and all of them nod in understanding.

"So, what’s next?" Asks a different redhead, this one the same height as you.

"That’s a good question…" You think aloud as you put the bracelet in your inventory and consider your next move…
