Urban exploration it is!

Eva looked around at her bedroom. Thrill of climbing at climbing centre had certainly lessened after few years. Looking down from 30 meters up was still exiting and knowing you could climb up there just by herself still made her feel capable in ways that no work ever did. Nonetheless it was like she needed something different for real thrills and for her watching scary movies with her friends was not enough. She did occasionally question herself why did she need to be so different and independent, but then again being strong and independent was something that was reward in itself.
Not that others weren't strong in their own ways nor they had to be if they weren't. It's just she found that it was easier to enjoy life when you didn't need to be afraid of the dark.
She noted that it was probably better to take extra batteries with her just in case - too many stories had a moment where maglight stopped working at the crucial moment. She took two packets of batteries from her shelf (decidedly not humming that horrible 'Be prepared' song from Tom Lehrer!) and placed one of them in her pocket and an another into her backpack.
She drove her car to this old factory area at skirts of the town.
It had that certain look that abandoned places take after a year or two that seems to last until places acquire that 'world ended decade ago, but that makes better tourists attractions' -look. That is to say it looked exciting and worth exploring even. She just had to be careful around potential dangers like falling through broken floors, stepping on nails (though her safety shoes she always wore were promised to protect her from those - and they were environmentally friendly to boot!). Walls had couple of tags and other graffiti on them that were visible even from afar. Red tiles, broken windows and graffiti all contributed to sense that these were factories of old that had been abandoned longer than she'd been alive.
She took her camera with her and started exploring factories - after about an hour she was inside one of the buildings when her boot hit something metallic. Her ears had gotten used up to silence broken only random sounds of birds and her stable breathing so it did sound truly horrific and her heart started to beat fast.
Only right then she heard someone ask probably not 20 meters away, but behind a wall "What the fuck was that?!"
Her heart started beating even faster while she thought what she should do.
