Slime Girl

After about a half hour of trekking through the wilderness, you hear the sound of a small waterfall, pouring down from a rocky outcropping into a clear pool, emptying into a cave underneath the outcropping. Perfect! That's one thing taken care of. It would probably be best to boil this water first, but you can worry about that later. You cup the cold water in your hands, then bring it up to drink.

Wow! That's really fresh. Cold and sharp, almost sweet. Better than bottled stuff for sure. You drink a few more double handfuls, then lean down to gulp it down directly.

That's when you see a face in the water.

Startled, you **** on the water and recoil backwards. The face follows, rising up out of the water...no, a part of the water? No...something else, something more viscous, blue colored. And pretty. She looks like a youngwoman, or has the shape of one at least, though her lower half vanishes under the water.

"Who are you?" Her voice has a muffled quality to it. How can she even speak? You definitely don't see any lungs in her transparent body.
