You wait

You are a patient creature. You lie in wait underneath a large tree where you will not be noticed. You hear the happiness, and busyness of the village above as you light a fire and cook a small deer you caught earlier.
"If I wasn't so patient these people would have killed me." You say to yourself hearing the archery contest, which occurs daily among the guards, begins with one of the guards getting a triple bulls-eye.
It's been a week since you've been down here and you've gathered some useful intel. There are no guards posted at 8 pm due to the way the elves switch guards. Every morning a young teenage elf goes for a stroll alone and far enough away that you could attack her without attracting to much attention. Also the humans are planning on attacking this village soon and could use the help of a powerful mythical creature.
