I really wanted to land a shot at Joshua's face or tell the cute girl to stop dating him but decided against it. The last thing I want to do is to be bailed out of jail by my parents on **** charges. I didn't want to be sending a card from prison to my sister saying "Congrats on getting married! From your criminal brother, Jake!"

I also didn't want to interfere in the girl's business. I don't want her to blow up in my face, just like how Sarah did. I decided that you can best learn from your mistakes and leave the girl to figure out her own problems.

I chose instead to run past him. I decided to "accidentally" brush past him when going back home. Not too devious, but a small victory within itself. I started to run back home and "accidentally" run into him. My felt my shoulder making contact with his arm. It was followed by a "Watch where you're going, dumbass!"

I yelled back "Sorry." with a smile on my face. One can imagine how satisfying it is for a school nerd to push the school jock without getting himself beat up. It is such an amazing feeling. Small but satisfying.

I saw my house in the distance and watched my sister loading into Harry's car. That stupid yellow beetle car. "Who would buy such an ugly car?" I smiled to myself. Only Harry. I still can't believe he is getting married to her. He always had a thing for my sister since he was in middle school. "Perv." I muttered to myself.

I took out my keys and started to unlock the door. I unlocked the door and was about to push it open when I was stopped by someone speaking behind me.

"Oh...my god. Is..is that...Jake?" came a hushed whisper.

I immediately froze at the sound of that voice and my heart dropped. "Oh no." I quietly said to myself. I did not dare to turn around to face the person.
