What's Laylah's costume? What's David's? How are they spending their Halloween?

A witch and a zombie head out to a party....

Knocking on Laylah's door, David braced himself for another awkward moment of catching his friend in an embarrassing state of accidental undress. But it became apparent as the door swung open that his fears were unfounded, and this time Laylah's state of undress was entirely intentional!

"Hey David! You look great!"

"Uhhhhhh..."

"And you're really getting into character, too!"

David was dressed in, as he called it, a "Punk zombie" costume. The black tank top and ripped skinny jeans were partially worn by age and much more worn by him intentionally beating it up and tearing it, strategically, around the cuffs and collar. Throw in some fake blood, some greyish-greenish face paint, and a couple Youtube tutorials about how they make fake wounds in movies, and he found the look to his satisfaction.

But rather than any gray matter getting his mouth watering, his current brainlessness was caused by the deep valley between Laylah's breasts, half exposed and barely held in by a black top with a v-neck that nearly went down to her belly button to meet the matching black skirt she had beneath, running all the way down to about mid-thigh.

Her hair, now dyed a bright reddish-orange, hung free of her usual pony tail. Her bright locks popped against her black-rimmed glasses and matching pointy black hat. It tilted back when it bumped the doorway on her way out into the hall.

"You too. I mean you look good, too," David eventually got out. "You sure you aren't, uh, forgetting something, though? Again?" He gestured towards her chest, turning his head away so even if he was obviously referring to her tits, he at least wasn't staring at them at the same time.

"No, thank you," Laylah said with a pout, crossing her arms and pushing her breasts up enough that they threatened a spill. "This is just how my costume looks, for your information."

"That's brave. Especially for you."

"...the neckline went deeper than it looked like when I ordered it," Laylah admitted after a moment, "and I have no idea where my black bra went, so... Y'know. Didn't want to ruin the look." David couldn't help her there. The bra in the hands of the grabby skeleton outside was about as bone white as it was. "But c'mon, it's Halloween. I bet I won't even be the one there showing the most skin!"

They were headed for a Halloween party tonight at a mutual acquaintance from high-school's house, Janine Ferriday.

"Yeah, maybe." David replied. Not at first, at least, he nearly added out loud and, feeling seasonally superstitious, knocked on Laylah's wooden doorframe as he led the way back downstairs. "You're all ready then? Janine's place isn't too far so I told Fatima we'd meet her on the corner of Lang and Old Bridge and we could walk there together."

"Sure, let's head out."

Fatima was a mutual friend of theirs, though she knew Laylah first. A mousy little thing with a morbid sense of humor, she and Laylah met when partnered in a college class and stuck together from there. Laylah got Fatima out and involved in social events more, and Fatima helped keep Laylah organized enough that she remembered to get to classes and submit her work on time. Laylah had conscripted David in helping her set up when Fatima moved into town, and from there the three of them would hang out occasionally.

She was a bit of a dork, but David liked that, and Fatima's macabre interests meant she really came alive, ironically, around Halloween. With a little encouragement from the two of them, Fatima agreed to come to Janine's party.

"C'mon, shuffle a little faster!" David heard from Laylah as she playfully prodded him in the back and through the door. David groaned with a small grin.

As they left, Sharon stepped out onto the front step and waved, saying "Have fun you two!" Her towel, in the spirit of Halloween, gave up the ghost. As Laylah's naked mother waved to them, her large breasts swaying as she turned around and went back in the house with the towel still in a useless pile on the front step, David couldn't help but worry that it was a premonition of things to come...
