Is it time for the final bite?
How about a change in venue bonus chapter?
Near the Gate of Hell
Michael’s Pov
“Ramiel! You’re risking Cassiel’s life! No one gave you an order to retreat,” I said. Cassiel’s body was still limp in my arms. Had she not been, I would have been tempted to punch him.
“Quite right of Ramiel, you were about to free Beelzebub-”
“Just whose side are you on?” I asked.
“We should consult God. Much has happened,” Ramiel said. “We can always return. We don’t agree and Cassiel isn’t moving.”
I clenched my teeth. Not to mention, we retreated after Lucifer handed me Cassiel in good faith and I gave my word before being teleported away. Ramiel was right, by teleporting us without asking me he has seriously limited our options.
“He’s right. Let’s not waste anymore time. That’s an order,” I said. The six of us left.

We all knelt before his blinding light. Of the current arch angels, are numbers were down to a sparse four, well five if Cassiel could be healed. For some unknown reason, Azrael hadn’t made it through the gate on her way out of hell.
The brightness of the room increased until even I could do no more then hold my eyes closed. Yet, I did noticed the gasp of air. Quickly followed by shuffling of feet. Seems Cassiel had been healed.
“Thy warrior has been cleased of one ailment for now,” God said.
One? But, the curse? “My Lord. What of the eternal curse-”
“It’s fine!” Cassiel said. “I can move again. The worst of it is over. I need nothing more from my Creator.”
“The slothen curse remains,” God said. “I have foreseen it being difficult to handle. It triggers when you consume food, and will be difficult to remove. I have seen it has a 120 factorial password. Take this duty with care My Cassiel. You presence is even more vital than ever.”
“I shall my Lord!” she said, her eyes seemed to brighten up at the thought.
“Why not take the offer we presented to Luc-”
“The fallen one!” God cried. “Such a name shall be honored no longer! I decree it!”
“Yes, my Lord,” I said. “We came to an accord to remove both curses. From… the ruler of flies and Cassiel.”
“Michael, you dishonor My Cassiel so greatly,” God said. “To think you’d argue for her release from a curse I have not yet been given one day to break. Or she one day to manage. And you would wager the release of one of My greatest enemies?”
I could feel Cassiel’s furious eyes on me already. I see. Really lord?
“I understand,” I said. “May I ask for a moment alone with you my lord. I seek time to repent for my doubt.”
Everyone else left. And the doors closed behind me as it became me and just god.
