What's next?
the way home
She pulled me up, but before I could reach for the fabric on the floorboards, she shoved my hands aside with an abrupt, dismissive motion.
"Not so fast," she said softly. "You haven't earned a damn thing yet."
I stood stark naked in the middle of the room, knees weak, cold shivers rolling across my body. The dried wax pulled like a shattered cuirass across my chest, my stomach, and deep down at the root of my groin, where the cool steel of the cylinder pressed relentlessly against irritated flesh.
Nadja turned her back on me. Slowly, with a deliberate, almost indolent elegance, she walked over to the bedroom. I didn't dare move; my eyes were glued to the fluid lines of her body. She reached for a shimmering black silk-lace bralette, pulling it over her breasts, and stepped into a high-waisted thong that accentuated her hips. Over it, she threw on a tight, emerald-green wrap dress in heavy velvet that clung to her frame like a second skin. She knotted the sash with a careless bow, shook out her blonde hair, and stepped before the mirror, tracing her lips with a dark, almost blood-red lipstick.
She looked breathtaking. An unapproachable, immaculate woman who would turn heads on any street—and who, just minutes ago, had held me pinned beneath her, branded me with hot wax, and dismantled me completely on the floor.
Reaching for a pair of sleek, knee-high leather boots, she slid her legs inside and pulled the zippers up with two sharp, whirring zips. The slender heels clicked solidly against the parquet as she stepped back in front of me.
"On your knees, John," she ordered coldly. "To say goodbye."
I sank down on the spot. The timber burned beneath my kneecaps. Nadja extended her right foot slightly. The smooth black leather caught the warm overhead light.
"Both of them," she demanded, her eyes narrowing to sharp, merciless slits. "The street dust. Thank me for showing you what you really are."
Bending low, I braced my palms flat against the floor and pressed my lips to the tapered toe of her right boot. The leather tasted of polish, damp asphalt, and a cold, overwhelming dominion. I licked over the supple hide, felt the dense wood of the heel against my chin, and shifted to her left foot. My breath fogged the immaculate black shine, while the flesh inside the steel cylinder hammered wildly against the bars from raw shame and runaway lust.
"Good boy," she whispered, stepping back to gather my clothes.
She bundled my things together, but instead of handing them over, she turned toward the apartment door with fluid strides. The heavy emerald velvet of her dress rustled faintly; the pointed heels of her leather boots struck hard against the floorboards.
With a firm pull, she hauled the heavy front door wide open. The chilly, slightly musty draft of the stairwell poured in immediately—an icy breeze that struck my bare, wax-crusted, wine-stained skin like a thousand needles.
"Out you go, John," she commanded quietly, leaning casually against the doorframe, crossing her arms. "You don't get dressed in here."
My heart skipped a beat. "Nadja… please, not out in the hall…," I stammered, clamping my hands protectively over my lap, where the cold steel cylinder jutted forward without compromise. "People live here… if someone comes down the stairs—"
"Then they see what a wet, obedient little wreck you are," she cut in. Her gaze was crystal-clear, wickedly amused. "Two seconds, or I throw the deadbolt from inside and you wait in the corridor naked until Loona comes to collect you."
The threat propelled me forward. Shivering uncontrollably, I squeezed past her through the doorway. Every muscle screamed with tension as my bare soles touched the freezing terrazzo floor of the hallway. It was dim, nearly dark; the timer on the stairwell lights had long clicked off.
Nadja leaned back against the frame, backlit by the warm amber spill of her apartment. In her hand, she held my grey T-shirt.
"Catch," she breathed, tossing the fabric out with a careless flick of her wrist.
The shirt billowed through the air, landing two meters away on the dusty steps leading up to the next landing. Scrambling forward on all fours across the cold stone, I snatched the cloth and yanked it over my head. My hands shook so violently I could barely find the armholes.
When I looked back, she was dangling my boxers—only to let them drop with a mocking smile right at her own boot tips.
"Don't even bother looking at those," she purred, kicking the fabric aside with the toe of her boot before shaking out the grey sweatpants. "Your mistress wants the full picture. No buffer."
She didn't toss the pants to me. Holding her arm out, she simply let them fall—right on the threshold between her door and the stairs.
I scrambled over on my knees, panicked, terrified of every tiny sound in the building. Stepping into the legs, I yanked the waistband up. The rough terry lining scraped like sandpaper over the hardened wax on my chest and thighs, while the cylinder pushed cleanly against the thin jersey, forming an unmistakable, rigid outline.
"Shoes, John," she whispered, dangling my sneakers by the laces over the threshold.
Reaching out, I went to turn to pull them on, but she raised a hand.
"Hold it."
Her voice brooked no hesitation. Stretching her right leg forward, she planted the knee-high boot well across the threshold into the dark stairwell. The smooth black leather gleamed in the light spill from her flat—unattainable, pristine, dominant.
"One final tribute," she demanded with silky venom. "On your knees. Buff it clean. Remind yourself one last time who just owned you."
Shame tightened around my windpipe, but my body responded instantly. I dropped straight to my knees on the filthy terrazzo, untied sneakers beside me. Bending deep over her foot, I pressed my mouth to the narrow toe, trailing my tongue over the cool leather. I licked across the welt, felt the hard heel against my chin, breathing in the scent of shoe polish and pavement, while the flesh inside the steel cylinder throbbed agonizingly against the bars.
Right at that exact second, it happened.
A loud, dry ***CLACK*** echoed down the stairwell.
Three floors up, someone had hit the light switch.
Harsh, merciless fluorescent light flooded the entire stairwell, banishing every shadow, drowning me in blinding glare. From above came the heavy slam of a door, followed by hurried, heavy footsteps descending the stone stairs.
A voice called down: "Yeah, I'm coming!"
A jolt of pure panic shot through my veins. I jumped up like I'd been struck, eyes wide, grabbing the sneakers mid-motion. My heart hammered at three hundred beats a minute, blood roaring deafeningly in my ears.
A low, dark, deliciously amused laugh drifted from the doorway.
Nadja was still leaning against the frame, hands on her hips, watching my sheer terror with glittering eyes. Without another word, she pulled the heavy door shut. The deadbolt engaged with a solid, definitive click.
I didn't look back.
In socks, clutching my shoes tightly to my chest, I stumbled down the stairs toward the courtyard as the neighbor's steps drew closer above. Every leap down the stairs drove the steel beneath the thin sweatpants hard into my bruised flesh—propelled by the raw terror of discovery, hurtling toward the only place where this delirium could end: Loona’s door.
Outside, the crisp Berlin afternoon hit me like a slap. The wind cut through the streets, but inside my body was burning like an open furnace.
I pulled my jacket tighter, burying my hands deep in the pockets, thumbs hooked hard into the waistband to keep the fabric off my pelvis. It was a laughable attempt. Every passerby on the sidewalk seemed to look directly between my legs. A young woman with a backpack and a long wool coat brushed past; when our eyes locked for a fraction of a second, her head turned slightly. *She sees it*, the thought pounded through my skull. *She knows what's made of metal and what's made of flesh under these pants. She smells the wax and the wine.*
And right there, with cold sweat tracing down my temples, the realization hit me with the force of a sledgehammer: I was scared to death—and I loved every single second of it.
My heart wasn't hammering solely from terror; it raced because the high was saturating my entire nervous system. The adrenaline rushed through my veins like pure, caustic fuel, sharpening every sense to an unbearable pitch, making the world appear with a clarity I had never known in normal life. I was addicted. Completely, hopelessly hooked on this freefall, on the sensation of balancing a millimeter away from the total destruction of my respectable existence. The disgrace was the very engine keeping me alive.
The steps down into the Schönhauser Allee U-Bahn felt like descending toward a scaffold. The tiled tunnel amplified every sound, every whisper, every click of a heel. When the train pulled in and the doors slid open with a hiss, the sluggish crowd of commuters carried me inside.
In the crush, it happened: a young, dark-haired woman in tight jeans and a cropped leather jacket stumbled slightly over the threshold and bumped her shoulder hard against mine.
"Oh, sorry!" she called out quickly, glancing up, her forearm brushing accidentally across my hip.
My entire body turned to stone. The fleeting touch felt like a ten-thousand-volt shock. The wax on my skin pulled to the bursting point, the cold steel cut deep into my flesh, and my vision spotted black. She pushed past me toward an open seat, entirely oblivious—yet I was dead certain she had to have felt the unyielding metallic obstruction at my side.
Instead of turning away, instead of hiding, every fiber of my being screamed for more. The rush was so overwhelming it stole my breath. My mind practically begged for her to turn around, stare at me, and call out the repulsive creature standing beside her on the train. I wanted the exposure. I needed it like air.
I clung to the handrail with clammy, trembling fingers. Across from me sat another woman. She was reading a book, legs crossed elegantly, expression cool and detached. On her feet were gorgeous, calf-high leather boots, their delicate heels swaying gently to the rhythm of the train. The leather was pitch-black, rich, polished to an immaculate gleam.
I couldn't look away. My eyes stayed glued to the graceful curve of the boot leather while the wheels roared over the tracks and the fluorescent station lights flickered through the windows. The intoxication shredded the last remnants of my pride. In my mind's eye, reality fractured completely: I saw myself dropping to my knees right there in the moving car. Right in front of all these strangers, between grocery bags and strollers. I pictured throwing myself onto the dirty diamond-plate floor, tucking my hands meekly behind my back, pressing my lips to the toes of those swaying boots to lick them clean, while the cylinder beneath the grey sweatpants pulsed in full view of the entire world.
I wanted to crawl before her the way I had crawled before Nadja. I wanted to lie flat on the floor before every woman in that train car and show them just how worthless, how thoroughly broken in I was.
The humiliation of that fantasy was so total, so crushing, that the trapped flesh inside the cage swelled again, straining the steel bars to the limit. The silicone ring bit down ruthlessly, denying any expansion, transmuting raw arousal into a deep, throbbing ache—an agony that pushed me to the brink of my sanity.
The train screeched to a halt. Pneumatics hissed; the doors slid wide.
I stumbled out onto the platform, knees shaking, hands clamped deep inside my jacket pockets. Driven by raw shame, trembling with insatiable need, completely overstimulated, I took the stairs upward—on the inevitable path back to Loona, who was already waiting to take receipt of her marked, compliant creation.
