They talk

Lana is the first to talk.

“She said what I said,” she tells him. “Needs. Not cheating. Using what’s there because the other person isn’t in the room. Same thing.”

Adam nods. The sink is still between them, dishes done, water off.

“Yeah,” he says. “You were right. Thank you. For the advice. I heard her and I heard you in it.”

Lana’s mouth softens. “You’re welcome.”

He looks at the rack. “You done?”

“Yes.”

He looks at her then. Not the kitchen look. The other one.

“Get naked,” he says. “Wait for me on the bed. It’s time for your reward.”
