Ruby Comes Up with a Devious Idea. (Stealing an Adventure)

“-…have our own party!” Ruby declared.

“Really?” Blake asked, looking at Jaune. Weiss was always responsible for helping keep Ruby’s antics to a minimum.

“Of course not,” Jaune replied. “First time she told me anything about it.”

“It’s a surprise!” Ruby continued firmly. “Let’s go J-Blake! We got preparation to do.” Ruby grabbed Jaune’s hand and dragged him after her.

“You really think those two have something going on?” Yang asked Blake.

“Yang might want to play games or something and somehow got Blake to agree,” Blake replied, looking back down at her book.

“That sounds like her,” Yang agreed and threw her arm around Blake. “You and I are going to be the real party animals, Weissy. Eh? Eh?”

“If you start off like that, I’m not going.”

“What was that about?!” Jaune demanded, once he and Ruby were away from prying eyes and ears.

“I just thought of a brilliant idea,” Ruby whispered excitedly. “If Yang and Blake, well Ruby and Weiss now, can you switch our names back?” Jaune nodded and clicked the undo button twice with him and Ruby holding the remote. “We weren’t going to Vale tonight because Weiss wouldn’t let me and you don’t want to deal with Weiss’s reputation, right?”

“Yeah…” Jaune began to have an inkling where this was going.

“Well, let’s Life Swap with Yang and Blake and go out,” Ruby explained. “We can hang out, do pretty much what we want, while those two stay back and study in my and Weiss’s life.”

“You really don’t like studying,” Jaune comment with a smirk.

“There’s that, but there’s more,” Ruby admitted. “You said you can kind of act like Weiss when using the Life Swap button. I’m pretty awkward around new people, remember how we met?” Jaune nodded fondly. “It’s not funny.”

“It was pretty funny when you exploded. Crater Face.”

“Not that point, Vomit Boy.” They laughed and Ruby continued when they stopped. “Yang’s always been outgoing and social. I kind of want to see what that is like. It’s scary to go by myself, so I want you to come along.”

“I see.” Ruby was Jaune’s best friend and he would do just about anything for her. “Sure. How you want to do this? We have options.”

“Life Swap?” Ruby asked.

“That’s one option,” Jaune agreed. “You will be yourself, but in their life and clothes. We could also do a Life and Body Swap, so you would be in their body too. Then if you only want to see what it’s like to have Yang’s confidence and social skills, we can do a personality swap and I’ll just follow you around as Weiss.”

“Hmm.” Ruby thought about it before making a decision.
