Fall asleep during a movie

The movie plays for a while, but somewhere around the halfway point, I start struggling to keep my eyes open. Eventually, I drift off on the couch.

When I wake up, the credits are rolling across the screen. The room is dim and quiet, and Jeff is still asleep on the other end of the couch. I glance around and notice Chase and Ariana are gone. I figure Chase must have headed to his room and Ariana probably went back to her place.

I quietly get up and stretch, trying not to wake Jeff. As I start walking toward my bed, I hear a faint noise coming from Chase’s room.

I stop.

For a moment, I just stand there listening. There’s another muffled sound from behind the closed door. I look toward Jeff, still completely asleep on the couch, then back toward Chase’s room.

What the hell is he doing in there?

I take a cautious step toward the hallway, unsure whether I should investigate or simply go to bed.
