Turning Heads
Jessica slipped the red babydoll over her head, the silky fabric cascading down her curves like a second skin. She shivered as the cool lace brushed against her nipples, already sensitive from the corset she still wore underneath. This is... a lot. But also... kind of amazing. She turned to Alexis, who was watching her with an expression that was equal parts approving and hungry.
“You look incredible,” Alexis said, her voice low and husky. She stepped closer, her fingers tracing the edge of the babydoll where it skimmed Jessica’s hips. “How does it feel?”
Jessica bit her lip, her heart racing. It feels... like I’m someone else. Someone bold. Someone who wears things like this without a second thought. “It feels... sexy,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “But also... like I shouldn’t be wearing this.”
Alexis chuckled softly, her fingers drifting upward to brush against the lace. “Well, you should be. Because you look like a goddess. And trust me, that’s not just me talking.”
Before Jessica could respond, the sound of the fitting room curtain being pulled back startled them both. Jessica froze, her eyes widening as she turned to see who it was—and then her stomach dropped.
Standing there, looking as effortlessly stunning as always, was Elena. Jessica’s former crush. The one she’d pined over for years when she was still Craig. The one who had never given her the time of day. And now, here she was, staring at Jessica with an expression that was equal parts curiosity and intrigue.
“Oh, sorry,” Elena said, her voice smooth and melodic. She didn’t look sorry. Her gaze lingered on Jessica, taking in the red babydoll, the corset, the way Jessica’s new body curved in ways that were undeniably feminine. “I didn’t mean to interrupt. I was just... browsing.”
Jessica’s cheeks burned, her hands instinctively moving to cover herself, even though the lingerie left little to the imagination. She doesn’t recognize me. Of course she doesn’t. But... oh God, she’s looking at me. Really looking at me. “It’s... fine,” Jessica stammered, her voice higher than usual.
Alexis, ever the picture of composure, stepped in smoothly. “No harm done. We were just trying on a few things.” She gestured to Jessica with a playful grin. “Don’t you think she looks amazing?”
Elena’s lips curved into a smile, her eyes still fixed on Jessica. “Amazing doesn’t even begin to cover it.” She took a step closer, her perfume—something light and floral—wrapping around Jessica like a warm embrace. “That color really suits you. It brings out your... everything.”
Jessica’s breath hitched, her heart pounding so loudly she was sure Elena could hear it. She’s flirting with me. Elena is flirting with me. What do I even say to that? “Thanks,” she managed, her voice barely audible.
Elena tilted her head, her gaze lingering on Jessica’s face. “I feel like I’ve seen you before. Do we... know each other?”
Jessica’s stomach flipped. Oh God, oh God, oh God. “I, uh... I don’t think so,” she lied, forcing a smile. “I’m... new in town.”
Elena’s smile widened, and she leaned in slightly, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Well, welcome to town. I’m Elena. And you are...?”
Jessica hesitated for a split second before blurting out, “Jessica.”
“Jessica,” Elena repeated, as if testing the name on her tongue. “It suits you.” Her eyes flicked down to the babydoll again, and Jessica felt a shiver run down her spine. “You know, if you’re ever looking for someone to show you around, I’d be happy to oblige.”
Before Jessica could respond, another voice cut through the air—one that sent a fresh wave of panic through her. “Elena? What’re you doing back here?”
Jessica turned to see Maya standing at the entrance to the fitting room area. Her ex-girlfriend. The one she’d dated for almost a year before they’d broken up. The one who had come out as lesbian shortly after their relationship ended. And now, here she was, staring at Jessica with a look of sheer... interest.
“Hey, Maya,” Elena said, stepping back slightly to make room. “I was just... chatting with Jessica here. You should see her in this lingerie. It’s unreal.”
Maya’s eyes widened as they landed on Jessica, and for a moment, the world seemed to stop. She’s here. She’s looking at me. And she’s... staring. Like she’s seeing me for the first time. Jessica felt frozen, her mind racing as Maya took a step closer, her gaze flickering over the red babydoll, the corset, the curves that had once belonged to Craig.
“Wow,” Maya said softly, her voice filled with a kind of awe that Jessica had never heard from her before. “You’re... stunning.”
Jessica’s face burned, her hands trembling as she clutched the edge of the fitting room curtain. This is too much. Way too much. “Thanks,” she managed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Maya stepped even closer, her eyes locked on Jessica’s. “I feel like I... know you. Is that weird?”
Jessica’s heart skipped a beat. She doesn’t recognize me. She can’t. But... what if she does? “I don’t think so,” she said quickly, her voice shaky. “I’m... new.”
Maya’s lips curved into a small smile, and she reached out, her fingers brushing against Jessica’s arm. “Well, if you ever need a guide, I’d be happy to help. I know all the best spots in town.”
Jessica’s breath caught, her skin tingling where Maya’s fingers had touched her. This is... insane. Both of them. Flirting with me. With HER. She glanced at Alexis, who was watching the interaction with an amused smirk. What do I even do?
Alexis stepped in smoothly, her arm sliding around Jessica’s waist. “Looks like Jessica’s got quite the fan club. But I think I’ll be taking her out for a bit now.”
Elena and Maya exchanged a glance, and then Elena smiled. “Of course. We’ll catch you later, Jessica. Maybe we can... continue this conversation sometime.”
Jessica nodded, her mind still reeling. “Yeah. Maybe.”
As they stepped out of the fitting room, Jessica felt a mix of emotions she couldn’t quite untangle—panic, excitement, disbelief, and something else she couldn’t quite name. Alexis leaned in, her lips brushing against Jessica’s ear. “Well, that was... interesting. Looks like your new look is turning heads.”
Jessica let out a shaky laugh. “Yeah. I just... I don’t know what to do.”
Alexis grinned, her fingers tightening around Jessica’s waist. “Oh, I think you’ll figure it out. But for now... let’s get out of here before things get even crazier.”
