Chapter 49 - Main Course

Vanessa was soaked from the long minutes of Mike’s tongue.

Wetness coated her thighs and dripped down her skin as she remained gripping the railing. Her breathing had not yet settled, and she kept her eyes lowered, trying to steady herself while the silence around them seemed to grow heavier.

Behind her, Mike pushed himself to his feet.

He stepped closer, his presence filling the small space between them before one hand came around the front of her neck. He gently but firmly turned her face toward him, forcing her to meet his gaze.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Then Mike leaned in and kissed her hard, leaving no room for hesitation. The taste of her still lingered on his lips, and the intensity of the moment made it difficult for either of them to think beyond what was happening between them.

He lined his cock up against her open pussy and pushed in with one steady stroke.

Vanessa’s moan filled his mouth. He kept the kiss going while he began to move. One hand stayed on her neck, holding her head turned so he could keep claiming her lips. The other hand slid up under the dress and filled itself with her breast, squeezing and rolling the soft flesh in time with his thrusts.

After a few minutes he shifted.

He lifted her right leg, hooked it higher, and drove into her with long, forceful strokes. Each thrust bottomed out deep and pulled back only to slam forward again. The wet sound of their bodies meeting mixed with the night wind on the rooftop.

Mike kept the rhythm powerful and steady, never slowing. Vanessa’s free hand gripped the railing tighter. Her moans grew louder against his mouth.

He thrust again and again until her whole body tightened around him. The climax hit her first in hard waves. The squeezing pulled Mike over the edge right after. He buried himself deep and came inside her with a low groan, holding her neck and breast the whole time.

They stayed close for another moment, both breathing hard, before Mike finally pulled away. Vanessa remained still, gathering herself as she straightened her dress with unsteady hands. The fabric had twisted during the hurried encounter, and she took a few seconds to smooth it back into place. Mike adjusted his own clothes, checking himself quickly before they stepped out.

Neither of them said much as they rode the lift back down. The silence felt different now, heavier and more deliberate. Vanessa kept her eyes on the numbers above the doors while Mike stood beside her, avoiding her gaze. Every few seconds, one of them seemed ready to speak, but neither found the right words before the lift reached the restaurant floor.

When they returned to the table, Durren was still waiting for them. Mike slipped back into his seat and immediately began explaining their absence, offering one excuse after another about the crowded restrooms and how they had taken a wrong turn in the hallway.

Vanessa said nothing. Instead, she sat down beside Durren and quietly placed her warm palm over his hand on the tablecloth. She left it there, her fingers resting lightly against his, as though the simple gesture said everything she didn't want to put into words.

Durren looked at her hand, then up at her face. Vanessa met his eyes, and the two shared a small, knowing smile.

After a moment, Vanessa leaned slightly closer to the coach. Her voice was low enough that Mike could barely hear her.

“Is that ready?”

Durren gave a single, quiet nod.

“It is.”

Soft giggles passed between them as the next round of dishes began to arrive. The first plate held seared scallops resting in a glossy butter sauce, their edges browned to perfection. Moments later, thin slices of wagyu beef were brought to the table, still sizzling as they touched the heated stone beneath them. The aroma alone was enough to make Mike look up in surprise.

A delicate lobster tail followed, brushed with a bright citrus glaze that cut through its rich flavor. Then came a large bowl of truffle risotto, steam curling upward beneath the warm restaurant lights. Its earthy aroma filled the space between them as Durren divided it among their plates.

By then, the awkwardness from earlier had almost disappeared. They settled into an easy rhythm, talking about ordinary things between bites and occasionally laughing at small jokes. More food kept appearing whenever they thought they had reached the end, until eventually even Mike had to lean back in his chair and admit defeat.

Once everyone was full, Durren dabbed the corner of his mouth with his napkin and placed it beside his plate. He glanced at Mike with a faintly mischievous smile.

“Ready for the next surprise?”

Mike immediately shook his head. “No. This is already too much. You brought me to a place like this and paid for all of this. I can't take anything more.”

What he didn't say was that, in his mind, the time he'd spent with Vanessa on the rooftop already counted as more than enough of a reward. Yet the system had remained strangely silent afterward. No notification had appeared, no quest completion message, nothing.

That left Mike with only one explanation. Whatever quest he was dealing with must be a long-term one, much like the quest involving Emma, which had unfolded over several days rather than ending after a single event.

Durren, however, clearly had no intention of accepting Mike's refusal. Vanessa leaned forward as well, her expression bright with anticipation.

“No, no, Mike. You have to come for this one,” she said.

Mike looked between them suspiciously. “What could possibly be left?”

Vanessa's smile widened.

“This,” she said, “is the main course.”

Mike could not find a clean way to refuse. He stood and walked with them. They entered the lift again. Durren pressed the button for the fifteenth floor.

The lift rose smoothly. When the doors opened Mike stepped out into a hallway lit entirely with neon—pink, purple, and deep blue strips that ran along the walls and ceiling. The whole floor felt like a private love hotel.

He did not ask questions.

He simply followed them to a door. Vanessa opened it and went in first. Durren followed. When Mike stepped through after them his mouth fell open in pure surprise.

The room in front of him looked nothing like any hotel room he had ever seen.
