A Television Related Prank

Tails grabbed a remote control and changed the channel on the TV. It turned to a kids program with a purple looking monster/stuffed animal like character.

The purple monster looked at the screen. "Hello, boys and girls!"

Tails looked back at Sonic and Tangle. "See, this television program was playing earlier today, and Cream was watching it."

Both Sonic and Tangle were confused.

Sonic took a sip of his can of blue raspberry soda. "And?"

Tails fast forwarded the clip a bit further. "After a commercial break, I interrupted the broadcast with my homemade network antenna and played a video project I made that looked identical to this cartoon Cream was watching." Tails grinned. "I had Wave the Swallow do the voice of this character. She was pretty good at doing deep dopey voices."

"Well, when you're surrounded by morons all day long, you pick up a thing or two."

Sonic and Tangle looked at the door entrance. Wave the Swallow leaned against the door frame, smirking very arrogantly with her arms folded.

Sonic and Tangle leaped off of the couch in surprise. "Wave?!"

Wave chuckled as she walked over and waved to the surprised hedgehog and lemur. "Good evening. I hope you don't mind I partake in your little dillydally. Miles "Shorty" Prower here did invite me."

Tails gave Wave a friendly smile. "I did. I figured you could use a reward for lending me your voice talents for this prank of mine."

Wave pat Tails on the back. "I appreciate you returning the favor. But don't get the wrong idea, I did what I did for myself."

Tails gave Wave an understanding reaction. "I know, it was humiliating for you to be placed below Amy during that last Extreme Gear tournament." Tails grabbed a bag of candy and handed it to Wave. "Here. Have some cinnamon flavored hard candy."

Wave popped a candy into her mouth. "Mmmm. My favorite."

Tangle started to grow impatient. "Can we get back to the prank please?"

Tails turned back to the TV and pressed another button. "So... during my homemade program, I had Wave imitate this purple monster host, and she made him say something that I can promise you is absolutely going to convince Cream to act upon."

Sonic placed his hand on his chin in curiousness. "Which was...?"

Suddenly, Tails and Wave looked at each. Then, they started snickering with their hands covering their mouths and tears pouring down their eyes.

Wave giggled as she opened her mouth. "You are going to be so disappointed in your baby bro, Sonic."
