What's next?
Brought to you by Shinra
The Shinra Electric Company was primarily known for electricity and power, as their name suggested. They provided power for Midgar and many areas of the world beyond, all while draining the world of every last resource!
But Shinra didn't JUST focus on electricity. No, as Barrett would likely explain in an impassioned speech, Shinra had their grubby fingers in countless industries. From weapons, to science, to food and beyond.
Tifa wasn't quite as vocal about her hatred of Shinra. Personally, she felt that if they were to be eco-terrorists, they shouldn't about their disdain for the company from the rooftops. Instead, she showed her protest through her business practices!
Seventh Heaven didn't use ANYTHING provided by Shinra. A fact that Tifa was proud of. Furniture, glasses, alcohol-- All of it was locally sourced. They even had their own modest power supply! If anything was revealed to be tied to Shinra, Tifa didn't want it in her bar!
Which made the recent news articles rather... Troubling.
"No, no, no... Geez, Tifa. Do you buy everything at one store?" Jessie asked as she rifled through Tifa's closet. Tifa sat on her bed, looking sheepish at the question.
"I... Maybe. We don't exactly have a bustling shopping district in Sector 7." Tifa muttered defensively. "Tell me you've found something..."
"I've found the exact same brand on everything you've got." Jessie shrugged, holding a pair of Tifa's underwear on one finger, which the barmaid was quick to snatch away.
It was recently revealed that Shinra not only had ties to Midgar's major clothing brands-- They effectively WERE the major clothing brands, simply hiding under a different name! The inner workings of their factories were every bit as horrible as you'd imagine.
Harsh. Dirty. Abusive toward the workers. Not to mention the environmental impact.
Tifa sat back onto her bed, looking at the previously innocuous logo on her panties, which now made her stomach turn. She let out a disparaging groan as she flopped onto her bed.
Her shirts. Skirts. Dresses. Bras...
"All of my clothes are made by Shinra. Everything." Tifa huffed. "I don't use Shinra products! That's my whole thing! But I can't afford to revamp my whole wardrobe. I can barely keep the bar stocked...."
Jessie plopped next to her teammate. She felt sympathy, of course. It might seem like a silly standard to adhere to in these circumstances-- But their standards, their morals, were all they had in this fight. She patted her thigh.
"Well, the way I see it, there's two options." Jessie began. "The smart option... You dress normally. Until you can afford something else. Or there's... You know. The bold option..."
