Sneak out

Right behind those doors was a Labrador guard, tasked with keeping the prince safe at all cost, and locked up inside the palace, where no one would see him. Ali found that extremely repulsive, but he couldn't argue about it. No one ever listens to him, only to his father.

But that still didn't mean he was going to stand around locked away while everyone else his age had fun, he's going to get out one way or another. Even if it means displeasing his father.

Ali slowly pushed one of the doors open and stared into the hallway. It was practically empty, only his guard was there. He was sitting on a small chair right next to the big golden doors, his thin but shining, gray armour gave him the looks as if he was in some sort of important mission, guarding something very valuable, which wasn't entirely false but Ali didn't feel like it was true. His eyes were closed and back was resting against the wall, hands crossed with one another while his snout was looking down. He was more than surely sleeping.

The young prince didn't let this opportunity go to waste and left the library, slowly closing the door so it wouldn't make much noise and wake the guard up, then walked into the hallway to reach the stairs and finally leave the palace he was cursed to be jailed in. It was a simple enough task, but somehow it failed.

The moment he walked in front of the Labrador, he immediately awoke and spotted him trying to leave. Ali tried to run at that moment, hoping he would be at least faster than the older guard and lose him in a crowd. That failed as well, the Labrador grabbed him by the arm and tugged him back to him.

„Young sire! What are you doing?” His guard said perturbed, his grasp on the prince tightening to the point it almost hurt Ali.

The young Dalmatian looked back at the Labrador, wondering what he should say. Whether he should lie to the person that was supposed to keep him safe, or tell the truth and be scoffed about it.
