Soaking up Jamaica

Chapter 381 by MrLarsBar MrLarsBar

The Jamaican sun hung low and heavy over the beach, casting everything in a golden, lazy glow. The sand was warm beneath Aaron Reigner's feet as he strode along the shoreline, hands tucked loosely into the pockets of his swim shorts. His posture was as steady as ever — upright, composed, every step calm and deliberate, the way a man moves when he doesn't feel the need to prove anything to anyone.

And yet, everyone noticed him.

Clusters of women lounging under bright umbrellas turned their heads as he passed. Their conversations paused, sunglasses lowered, smiles curving wide and curious. A few whispered, a few laughed softly into their hands.

The local women especially seemed taken with him — tall, broad-shouldered, with the quiet, unreadable intensity that drew attention like a magnet. His stoicism only made it worse. Or better, depending on who you asked.

Aaron didn't acknowledge it. Not out of rudeness — it simply wasn't in him to react to being looked at. He kept walking toward a small beachside stand tucked beneath the shade of a few swaying palms. It was colorful and lively, with the rich scent of fresh fruit and coconut drifting through the air.

He stepped up to the counter. "Ice tea, cold, no ice."

The Jamaican at the mini-bar gave a nod. He was an older fellow. "Got it."

That was when he felt someone settle onto the stool next to him — graceful, easy, familiar.

"Well, well," came a purring voice. "Look who's stealing all the attention."

He turned slightly — and there she was.
