What should Ali do with the rat?
Detain him
Ali struggled carrying the fat, naked, unconscious rat all by himself all the way to the station, while the Doberman walked beside him, watching him with a smile, whining and complaining. Eventually, after what felt like a whole hour, Ali managed to drag the unconscious, smelly rat to the station's door where a kind enough guard grabbed the rat and took him inside. Ali's hands and feet were weak and tired as hell, his eyes barely able to remain open as the clock reached midnight. He and the Doberman went inside the station to explain to whoever was in charge of what charges the rat was taken accountable for.
„Gooooddd.... Eeevveeennniggg... Geeentteellmeeenn...” An old looking Maremma Sheepdog, greeted the two younger canines.
„Yeah, yeah. Skip.” The Doberman waved his hand annoyed. „Put that guy for assault on a guard, and public nuisance.”
„Ooookkkkaaayyyyy....!” The Sheepdog grabbed a piece of paper, and started incredibly slowly to write. „Hhhoooolllddd, ooonnn...” He stopped after the third letter. „Tttthheee kkkkiiiinnnggg, ssssaaaiiiddd tooo beee thorough. I neeeeddd tooo wwwrriittee eeeveerrythhhing tthaaat hhaappennnedd!”
„Sure whatever, let's get it over with.” Ali's college said extremely annoyed.
„Oookkkaayyy! Fiiirrssstt-”
[One hour later]
„fooouuunnddd hhhhiiimm...”
[Two hours later]
„Nnaaaakkeeddd faaattt bbbuuttt...”
[Three hours later]
„Sllaaammmeeddd oonnn ttthhheee grrroud...”
[Literally the next morning]
„Doonnneee!” The Sheepdog finally exclaimed, putting the piece of paper in a drawer. „Tthhhaaannnkkk yyyyouuuu.”
Ali and the Doberman, who were fast asleep sitting at the front desk, slowly opened their eyes hearing the drawer close. „Fuck. We done yet?” The Doberman didn't stop for a response, he got up and started stretching his body, before walking outside.
Ali was ready to do the same, wanting to go back home and get the filthy black ink off his body, and become the prince again, hoping that he wouldn't be in much trouble afterwards. But just as he was ready to leave the station, a canine guard burst through the door. „Attention all royal guards! The king has recalled every single one of you for an important meeting at the castle. Attendance is mandatory. Those who will not attend will be severely punished.”
Every single guard dropped what they were doing, including processing the people they caught, and rushed to the castle. All while Ali looked confused as everybody left, leaving multiple cells open, with the criminals inside running back out into the city, and the keys to the whole place left on a table for literally anyone to steal. Guess King's orders are more important than the safety of the kingdom, Ali thought. He realised that technically he's supposed to go to that meeting as well, since he looks and is treated as a guard, even though there's no official paper. Though he doubted anyone would notice his absence, especially with how big, buff and tall all the other guards are. Yet, he wondered what this urgent meeting was about, probably about his absence as the prince, which he should go back to, but this might be one of the last opportunities to see his dad in a different light.
