How do you design yourself?

Refine Morgan more

Chapter 5 by pmanpman

You pull the neural crown back onto your head, diving into the DesignSpace interface once more. Morgan's design rotates before you, waiting for refinement.

The foot structure is your first target. You pull up the skeletal configuration, angling the metatarsals into a permanent arch—forty-five degrees, then fifty. The software flags a warning about mobility constraints, but you override it. You shorten the Achilles tendon, lock the ankle joints into position. The feet reshape themselves into perfect points, toes extended, heels raised. Morgan will stand on tiptoe constantly, or not at all. Flat-footed walking becomes biomechanically impossible.

"That's going to require footwear," Kim says from behind you, reading the specifications. "Minimum four-inch heels at all times, or they'll be immobile."

"That's the idea," you reply, already moving to the next modifications.

You adjust the gait parameters—hip sway increased by sixty percent, shoulder movement synchronized to create maximum visual appeal. Every step will be a performance, hips rolling, chest bouncing. The muscle memory gets hardwired directly into the motor cortex. Morgan won't be able to walk normally even if they wanted to.

The face comes next. You pull up the dermal layer, programming in permanent cosmetic effects. The lips swell fuller, taking on a glossy pink sheen that will never fade. Dark liner appears around the eyes—not makeup that can be removed, but melanin deposits in the skin itself that create the illusion of thick lashes and smoky shadow. The cheeks gain a permanent flush. You smooth the features further, making them almost uncanny in their perfection—pretty but artificial, human but not quite.

"Jesus," Morgan breathes behind you, seeing the updates on the screen.

The vocal cords are delicate work. You thicken them slightly for breathiness, adjust the resonance chambers for a sultry quality. Then you add hesitation markers—subtle neurological patterns that will make Morgan second-guess their words, pause mid-sentence, speak with uncertainty. The voice will drip sex but lack confidence.

Finally, you dive into the deepest part of the brain—the limbic system, the seat of attraction and desire. You isolate the neural pathways associated with sexual attraction and reconfigure them completely. Every parameter, every trigger, every response pattern gets locked to one specific profile: yours. Morgan's brain will recognize you as the sole object of sexual and romantic attraction. Others will register as neutral, as furniture, as nothing.

"Design complete," the AI announces. "Subject will experience exclusive sexual imprinting on designated individual. Warning: This modification affects fundamental identity and autonomy."

Kim stands up, moving closer to read the specifications. Her professional mask slips for just a moment. "Riley, this is... comprehensive. Morgan won't be able to walk without heels. Won't be able to remove the cosmetic effects. Will only be capable of attraction to you." She looks at Morgan. "Do you understand what you're consenting to?"

Morgan stares at the screen, at the modified design—the permanent doll-face, the impossible feet, the rewired brain. Their hands are shaking.
