"Don't you think it's too early for her?" - Alice was walking down the street with other girl.

"Maybe, but I think it'll be better to show her the things sooner than later..." - the girl answered as they walked toward Jane's home. Alice quickly called her and soon Jane walked out to them.

"Hi, Alice! What's going on?" - Jane asked as she looked over the girl next to Alice. The girl was a little shorter than Alice and had same red hair, but her eyes were dark brown. She was noticeably thiccer than Alice, not chubby but not thin either. And over her head Jane can see her name and level: Amely Wencroft 28 Lvl.

"Hi, that's my big sister Amely. And this is Jane I told you about." - Alice quickly introduced the girls to each other. - "Now, you probably want to know how to make money right?"

"Yeah, that would be nice to know..." - Jane does visited the Auction site couple times through the week though she didn't bought anything, since she hadn't enough money.

"There is a way to earn money, but it can be quite risky." - Alice continued after Jane's mumbling. - "You see, the people constantly emmit emotions and once negative ones reach critical amount they transform into monsters in Illusional Barrier. We, people of Abyss, must clear out these Barriers before the monsters inside can grow too strong to left the Barrier into Mundane world."

"So, you're paid to kill monsters?"

"No, but we can take valuable materials from these monsters." - Amely answers instead of her sister. - "Since you're new to Abyss, I think it's good idea to show you how things are done here sooner. You will stay back and watch us work, then we show you how to get materials from monsters."

"Okay, but I can help you, I know one spell, it's not much but it seems pretty useful..."

"You already learned it?! But you bought it last week. Are you sure you can use it?"

"Yes, I already tested it. It's a simple lightnings..."

"Hmm, We'll see..." - Amely didn't seemed persuated and turned away. - "Follow me."

Several minutes later girls walked into deserted alley and Amely opened her Illusional Barrier. This time it was ordinary looking forest, with sun rays shined through the leaves on trees, though there were no birds no wind so the forest looked empty.

Jane was surprised when she saw the girls. Instead of their ordinary clothes they had a fantasy themed attire. Alice had a light leather armour with white skirt and sword attached to her back. Amely had a long priest robes also white. Also both girls had a symbol of a crossed sword and feather on their backs. And looking at herself Jane felt out of place in her simple tracksuit.

"So, I hope you're not bragging about your spell. The magic isn't as simple as you think, it took me almost a month to learn my first spell." - said Amily as she proudly straightened her back puffing her ample chest forward. - "I specialize in healing and supporting magic by the way. And little Alice is fighter as you see."

"Hmm, so we have a mage, fighter and a healer..." - Jane mumbled to herself already thinking on tactics for their party, though she wasn't a leader. - "If there won't be too many enemies it'll be easy..."

"I advice you to be careful girl. Even though this must be easy Barrier, you always should be careful, I can heal injures but if you lose a limb or something you'll be in trouble..."

"Come on, sis, save us from your lections... Now, let's go girls!"

"Goblins..."

"Yep, that's clearly goblins..."

Jane was wandering what enemies they'll meet here, and soon she got an answer to her question. The girls hid in bushes when they heard some noises and in front of them on a clearing they saw trio of small green humanoids - goblins as Amily said, and they looked like typical goblins: a little over 1 meter tall, dark green and scrawny.

"Now, it's time for you to prove your brawling about your spell..." - Amely whispered to Jane with slightly arrogant smirk, already expecting girl's refusal. - "You strike first and then Alice will kill them."

"Okay..." - Jane just nodded and moved a bit closer while looking at goblins.

'Hmm, they're not very big, I think I can fit one in my belly... though I don't know how the girls will react to it, so it's better to not do it with them around...' she thought while sizing up her targets, she raised her hand up and began her attack. - "Weak Lightning! Weak Lightning! Weak Lightning!"

With loud crackling three lightning shot from girl's hand toward goblins, she hit one of them twice but missed the other two, though Alice quickly run toward them and with practiced swing of her sword she killed it before it could realize what's happening, another swing and second goblin dead. Jane meanwhile threw another lightning at remained goblin and killed it as well.

"Wow, you weren't lying about the spell..." - Amely stepped from bushes. - "Mmh... Sorry for doubting you... But you know, not many people can learn a spell in one week..."

"Ah, it's nothing, I'm not mad at you..." - Jane shook her head as she walked up to sisters, she decided to not tell that actually she learned the spell in one second. - "So, what materials we can get from them?"

"From gobblins? Nothing valuable, their ears sometimes are used in alchemy, by they worth too little to take them, since goblins are one of the most frequent monsters in Barriers. Also as you can see, most corpses disappear pretty fast in Barriers..." - Amely pointed at goblins which aleady began dissipating. - "...so if you want to take something from Illusional Barriers, you have to be quick..." - while Amely talked something catched her eye, she bend down and picked up... a 50 euro banknote. - "Erm... that's... did someone of you dropped this?"

"No..."

"Me neither, all my money are at home..."

"That's... weird... very weird..." - Amely keep mumbling while examening the banknote. - "Though this banknote didn't seems fake... Okay girls, this is weird so keep close to me, we need to kill the strongest enemy so the Barrier will be cleared."

Suddenly girls heard angry screams from the forest around them.

"They're coming! Jane, do you still have mana? Good, take out as much as you can with your magic. Alice, you're our last defence line, kill those who get too close, others for Jane. I'll make some supporting spells..." - after finishing with her orders Amely clapped her hands in front of her and began chanting her spell, the language was unfamiliar to Jane but she thought it sounded like latin. Jane menwhile picked up a cub from one of defeated goblins, she had more than half of her MP but she feel safer with actual weapon in hand, even if it's just a sturdy thick stick.

Jane does felt herself a little stronger and seconds later first goblins poured in the clearing from behind the trees. Jane quickly shot her lightning at closest humanoid and repeated her attack until it was finished then she switched her attention onto next one. There were around a dozen of creatures in this wave, she had to attack single target three or sometimes two times with her lightnings so they quickly closed the distance, but Alice already was there effectively cutting the monsters with her sword. Jane does envied her a little, seeing how effortlessly she killed those goblins, but constant flow of messages with EXP from killing goblins did made her feel better, she also noticed that though the monsters were relatively low-leveled they give her pretty good amount of EXP and she soon gained a level.

"Huff... Huff... Fuck, they've become tougher..." - Jane mumbled as she hit a goblin with her cub. She had no idea how long they were fighting, Amely casted the buff couple more times after it ended, so Jane thought it was around 15 minutes passed. The goblins keep pouring from the forest, and as she said they were stronger and tougher than first ones. There were two types: first ones heavier and more buffy looking goblins with crude leather armour and rusty knives, and second type appeared in the third, and Jane hope it was last, wave were more problematic - archers, they were just as scrawny as usual cannon fodder but they had bows which they used to attack girls from distance, though since their bows were small and crude they weren't made for long range attacks, putting archers into distance for Jane's lightnings, but the girl already run out of mana, even after leveling up.

"Damn, I'm almost empty..." - Amely said after she casted another spell, it was a semi-transparent dome of light that deflected the arrows, but it couldn't stop the goblins to enter inside so the girls had to fight hand to hand, Alice had no problem with it - she was a warrior and had better equipment than the monsters, her older sister also were fine despite being supporter. But Jane wasn't skilled as sisters, so she quickly missed several hits and her HP dropped down. - "...you have to be more carefull girls, I have mana only for couple healing spells..."
