He tries to make it up with Joey

Rot realized he'd blown it. First, he'd pushed too hard with the twins. Second, he'd turned down a sure thing with Joey. But worst of all, he'd hurt a girl who was already fragile, whose self-esteem was in as poor shape as was his own. He didn't know why he'd gotten to come back in time for a do-over, but he was pretty sure it wasn't to make sure other people had lives as miserable as his had been.
