Hazy day

Chapter 13 by QOSAbbie QOSAbbie

Sylvie woke up the next morning with a pounding headache. Her head felt like it was splitting open, and her mouth tasted like stale cider and regret. The living room was bright, and she was still on the sofa, covered with a thin blanket. The smell of cigarette smoke and last night’s pub air lingered in the room.

She sat up slowly, groaning. The room spun for a moment. She was still wearing the short black dress from the night before, now wrinkled and smelling of smoke and sweat.

The girls were already up, lounging around the living room with mugs of tea and leftover snacks from the night before. Courtney grinned when she saw her.

“Morning, Syl. You were proper out of it last night. Look at this.”

Courtney held up her phone and played the video of Sylvie pissing in the alley behind the pub. The camera caught everything. Her dress hiked up, the stream hitting the ground, her drunken giggle.

Sylvie’s face turned bright red. “Delete that! That’s humiliating!”

The girls laughed. Jade leaned forward. “Nah, Syl. It’s funny as fuck. You’re proper one of us now.”

Charlotte added, “You need to text Darren today. He’s a good lad. You’ll have fun with him.”

Sylvie shook her head, still groggy. “I can’t. I have a fiancé. This was a mistake.”

Courtney waved her phone. “You can, and you will. Or I send this video to Alex. And all the other pics from last night. Your choice, Syl.”

Sylvie felt trapped. With a heavy sigh, she took out her phone and sent a simple message to Darren: “Hey, last night was fun. We should do it again sometime.”

The girls cheered. “Good girl, Syl!”

As Sylvie tried to stand up to get some water, she felt a big burp rising in her chest. She let it out loudly without thinking, the sound echoing in the room.

The girls burst out laughing again. Courtney clapped. “There we go! First proper belch. You’re learning fast.”

Sylvie covered her mouth, embarrassed, but the girls just kept teasing her about it. By midday, the girls had turned on the TV and were watching some trashy reality show. Sylvie sat between Jade and Charlotte on the sofa, still feeling groggy and trapped. She sipped the strong, sweet tea Courtney had made her and tried to focus on the show, but her mind was racing.

Her phone buzzed. It was a reply from Darren.

“Last night was mint. You’re proper fit. Fancy going out tomorrow night? I’ll take you somewhere proper.”

Sylvie stared at the message, her heart pounding. The girls noticed immediately.

Courtney leaned over. “What’s he say?”

Sylvie reluctantly showed them the message. The girls cheered again.

“See? He wants you, Syl!” Jade said. “You should say yes. Tomorrow night. Perfect. And send him a sexy selfie to go with it.”

Sylvie shook her head. “I can’t do that. This is already too far.”

Charlotte grinned. “Come on, Syl. Just one pic. We’ll help you pose. It’ll be fun.”

The girls wouldn’t take no for an answer. They pulled Sylvie up and made her stand in front of the mirror. Courtney adjusted her dress to show more cleavage, Jade fluffed her hair, and Charlotte told her to pout.

“Smile sexy, Syl,” Courtney said, holding up her phone. “Pretend you’re sending it to your new boyfriend.”

Sylvie, still hungover and overwhelmed, reluctantly posed. She tried to look seductive, pushing her chest out a little and giving a shy smile. The girls took several photos and picked the best one.

“Perfect,” Courtney said, sending it from Sylvie’s phone along with the reply: “Sure, tomorrow night sounds good.”

The girls cheered again. “Good girl, Syl!”

The day dragged on with more TV, more tea, and more teasing from the girls. Sylvie felt the walls of her old life closing in. But a small part of her was starting to wonder if fighting it was worth it.
