Don't Look!
“D… don’t look!” Chelsea commanded.
I could definitely see hints of a blush forming on her cheeks.
“What, at you?” I asked as innocently as I could. “It’s nothing I haven’t seen before!”
“I don’t care!” She snapped, her voice going shrill for a moment. “Look away!”
“Okay, okay!” I said.
I picked up the remote off the coffee table and turned on the TV. “Look, I’m watching TV, not looking at you at all, okay!”
Of course, I was looking out the side of my eye as well as I could, but ostensibly following her command.Then I saw movement out the corner of my eye- the movement of her leaving the safety of the bathroom, a flesh toned figure barely visible on the side of my vision. I ached to look over at her. To stare, to take in the sight. But I knew things were just getting started, and I’d have my chance…
