They have a good time at the club and go back to Chloe's Apartment

Chapter 7 by jing43

The bass thumped through the crowded bar, colorful lights sweeping across the dance floor as Chloe and Lily moved in sync. After a couple of rounds of fruity cocktails—sweet and deceptively strong—the girls were feeling the buzz. Chloe’s cheeks were flushed, her laughter coming easier with each song. Her short black mini dress rode up her thighs as she danced, but she didn’t care. The warm glow of alcohol made everything feel loose and fun.

Lily spun her around, both of them laughing as they raised their hands above their heads. Men nearby stole glances, but the pair stayed focused on each other, lost in the rhythm. Chloe’s long blonde hair whipped around her shoulders, and her heels clicked against the floor with every sway of her hips. Lily, in her crimson dress, moved with bold confidence, pulling Chloe closer during a particularly upbeat track.

“You’re such a good dancer when you let loose!” Lily shouted over the music, grinning.

Chloe giggled, feeling the pleasant haze of the drinks. “I needed this! Babysitting and fake-boyfriend drama—gone for tonight!”

They danced through several songs, ordering another round of cocktails between sets. The alcohol loosened their inhibitions further. Chloe’s movements grew more fluid, her body swaying sensually as the short hem of her dress teased higher with each twirl. Lily matched her energy, the two of them drawing smiles and a few appreciative whistles from the crowd.

Eventually, they found a small high-top table to catch their breath. Lily sipped her drink, eyeing Chloe with a tipsy, affectionate smile. “You know, you’re so lucky to have Josh,” she said, leaning in. “That man is hot. Like, seriously. Athletic build, that easy smile, the way he looks at you? Total package. If I didn’t love you so much, I’d be jealous. You two are perfect together.”

Chloe blushed, the warmth spreading through her chest. The compliment landed sweetly, especially after the strange day with Aaron. “He really is the best,” she agreed, her voice soft and sincere. “I feel bad sometimes for dragging him into my chaotic life, but he’s always so understanding. I love him so much.”

Lily nodded, swirling the ice in her glass. “You deserve it, Chloe. You’re this sweet, gorgeous girl who stumbles into the weirdest situations, and he just rolls with it. Most guys wouldn’t be cool with the Aaron thing. Josh? He’s a keeper. Hot and secure. Don’t ever let that go.”

The words made Chloe’s heart swell. Tipsy and happy, she hugged Lily tightly. “Thanks, Lil. You always know what to say. Now let’s dance some more before we get too sappy!”

They returned to the floor for another half hour, grinding and laughing through pop hits and remixes. By the time they decided to call it a night, both were pleasantly drunk—giggly, affectionate, and steady enough on their heels. The walk back to the car was filled with playful arm-linking and shared stories from the night.

“Let’s crash at your place,” Lily suggested, her words slightly slurred. “It’s closer, and I don’t feel like driving all the way home.”

Chloe nodded enthusiastically. “Josh won’t mind. He’s probably still up.”

The drive back was short and filled with music from the car stereo. They pulled up to Josh’s apartment building, the night air cooling their flushed skin as they climbed the stairs in their short dresses and heels. Chloe fumbled with her keys for a moment, giggling, before pushing the door open.

The living room was dimly lit by the glow of the TV. Josh was sprawled on the couch in sweatpants and a t-shirt, finishing up an action movie. He looked up as they entered, his eyebrows rising in pleasant surprise at the sight of the two stunning, slightly tipsy women.

“Hey, you two,” he said with an easy smile, pausing the movie. His eyes lingered appreciatively on Chloe in her tight black mini dress and heels, then flicked to Lily in her bold red number. “Looks like you had a good time.”

Chloe walked over to him and leaned down, planting a warm kiss on his lips. “We did! Dancing, drinks, the works. Lily decided to crash here if that’s okay.”

Lily waved from the doorway, still in her stilettos, her dark curls tousled from the night out. “Hey Josh. Hope we’re not interrupting. Your girl is a dance floor queen.”

Josh chuckled, wrapping an arm around Chloe’s waist as she settled beside him. “Never interrupting. You both look great. Movie’s almost over if you want to join.”
