Jesse's Apartment

Jesse's apartment was a lot bigger than John's. It even had separate rooms for the kitchen and bedroom.

"I thought you were broke?" John asked sitting down onto a comfy couch in front of a 4K flat screen that took up a large portion of the wall.

"My parents are helping a little bit," Jesse said from her bedroom. "I'm still paying off my loans, but most of the furniture was theirs until they got new ones. So I took the old ones."

John could hear the sound of clothes hangers moving around Jesse taking things down.

"Need help?" He asked.

"I've got nothing that fits this body," Jesse said from across the apartment, "But I have an idea."

She came into the living room and dropped a pole of clothes onto the coffee table, "Try turning these clothes into outfits I can wear. That way maybe you can learn to control the changes."

John nodded and picked up a white t-shirt. "Okay, let's see if I can turn this into an oversized sweater."

John grabbed the stone and focused on the image of an oversized sweater. A feeling tugged at the back of his mind as though it didn't like what he was doing. The stone grew warm and the fabric of the shirt took on a sweater like quality. But it began to elongate and cinch at the waist. Within moments it was a pink sweater dress with a plunging neckline.

"Fuck," John said, "I think the stone didn't like that. It felt like it was fighting me."

Jesse smiled, "That's good! If you can fight it, maybe that means you can eventually take full control."
