The conference room at the corporate headquarters felt unusually tense the following afternoon. Dylan Smithson and Steve Allen arrived with a full legal team: three sharply dressed attorneys carrying thick folders and laptops. Across the table sat Manny and Cheri, with Kelly Holcomb, Manny’s longtime divorce and entertainment attorney, seated beside them. The three girls, Brianna, Maddy, and Ansley, are being released from their contracts with full year salary paid out in advance, no strings attached, and all footage involving them will be reviewed for appropriate handling.”

Kelly raised an eyebrow but said nothing, taking notes.

Dylan continued. “Manny, we are offering you the position of Chief Operating Officer of the entertainment division. This comes with a 150% raise on your current compensation package, plus performance bonuses tied to quarterly quotas. You will spearhead new content direction with full creative oversight, subject only to board approval on major expenditures.”

Kelly scanned the documents they slid across the table. “And the NDA regarding Mrs. Allen?”

Dylan nodded. “Mr. Ray must agree that any prior relationship with Mrs. Allen took place as consensual swingers events between private parties. Any future interactions may only continue if both parties agree to it in writing beforehand. This protects all sides from liability.”

The ten-year no-termination clause without criminal cause is excellent protection. The girls are released with full pay, which removes immediate pressure. And the NDA on Samantha is written to limit future exposure.”

Kelly nodded. “Exactly. Pros: financial security, job protection, Brianna’s release, and creative control for you, Manny. Cons: you remain associated with a company that engaged in unethical practices, the public brand is now tied to Brianna as ‘Cherry Love’, and the Samantha clause could be emotionally complicated long-term. You also give up the ability to sue for past damages in exchange for the new terms.”

Cheri leaned against Manny, her breast pressing softly against his arm. “I hate that we are compromising. But walking away means losing everything we have built. The money they are offering could set Brianna up for life. She could finish school without debt, start whatever career she wants. And you as COO… you could steer things away from the worst excesses.”

Manny sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I know. The logical part of me sees the security. The father in me wants to burn it all down. But if we take this, we control the narrative moving forward. We protect our daughter. We protect our future.”

Kelly closed her folder. “It is a strong offer under the circumstances. I can negotiate a few more safeguards if you want, but this is already better than I expected after the threats you made this morning.”

Cheri kissed Manny’s cheek softly, her hand sliding higher on his thigh. “We can do this. Together. As a family.”

Manny finally nodded. “Tell them we accept. With the additional safeguards Kelly recommends.”

Kelly stood, gathering her things. “I will handle the final paperwork tomorrow. You two did well holding your ground.”
