Try to get into their good graces

"It's alright. I have a girlfriend myself" he said "Yang and I just kinda bumped into each other last night and hit it off. She said I should meet the rest of you"

"That part actually doesn't surprise me" Blake said dryly "She's always been kind of a magnet for interaction"

"Yeah. And sometimes she doesn't know when to shut up" Weiss replied with a bit of snark.

"What was that, Ice Queen? You wanna go?" Yang said with a smile, flexing her arms.

"Hey! Team leader says no fighting in front of our guests!" Ruby boomed.

"You all sure are a lovely bunch" Duke laughed.

As the conversation went on, the other three slowly grew more comfortable with Duke. Eventually Blake mentioned homework, and Yang - of course - grew concerned. It wasn't just that she didn't have time to complete it last night, it was also that she did just forget. So Blake dragged her off to help her get it done before class.

"Wait! Lemme come too! I forgot tooooo!" Ruby yelped, dashing after them, leaving Duke and Weiss alone together in the cafeteria.
