The docks

Batman slowly came to but gave no sign of it. He kept his body still and his eyes closed, using his other senses to get information on his surroundings. He smelled the sea and heard the creaking of metal. He quietly felt around and felt the rust fall off the metal surface he was strapped to. If he was reading what his senses were telling him right, he was in a ship.

An old rusted ship. If he was guessing right, the strange problem was that he could tell the feeling was from pressure, which would usually mean he was at the bottom level. The problem with that was that it sounded like it was coming from the entire ship, not just one part. "I know you're awake; open your eyes and talk, or maybe I cut a few fingers off your friends here." His Votir, not wanting to risk anybody else, opened his eyes and stared into the strange eyes of a shrimp.

They were on a humanoid body, and from what little he could tell of the creature's body language, he was both bloodthirsty and eager to get started with whatever was going on. Upon seeing that Batman was up, the shrimp man spoke. " Good Batman very good wouldn't want to hurts unnecessarily would we?" The shrimp man said sarcastically.

He then took a step back, letting Batman see that Nightwing, Red Hood, and Red Robin had all been captured as well and were tied up with him. Batman kept calm, quickly looking over the others and seeing no visual injuries, so for the moment they were okay except for the possibility of internal injuries, but he couldn't check those now.

"Well, I see you've noticed I have your little bat family. Good, I just wanted you to be sure of whose lives were in your hands." The shrimp man said Batman's focus was on him. Batman said nothing for a moment, not dignifying that statement with a response and analyzing the shrimp man in front of him for any clues as to why he was doing any of this.

"I see the gears turning in that head of yours. Well, I'll take away your fun by giving you a hint. After what you did to me, I find myself rather hungry. So if you act up, I'll take a few pieces out of your sins here to satisfy my hunger." Shrimp said with a Russian accent and a calm voice. Batman took in those clues, hunger, and something he did. His eyebrows shot up as he realized who he was looking at.

The others stirred awake, though they gave no visible signs of it, though the shrimp did. "Now, Batman, I'm going to have to repeat myself." Shrimp said as he brought his large claw forward, making the threat clear. Batman knew he meant it too with greater certainty as he now knew who they were dealing with.

"He knows." Batman said, and the others all stopped pretending and opened their eyes, taking in the situation. Batman kept silent, not wanting to give their host more than needed.

"Good. I was worried you'd make me have to start early." The shrimp man said his Russian accent and the tone of his voice made it clear he was not worried about starting early. "You see, my employer had expected me to cause some havoc but not to succeeded so well. So for the moment we wait on new orders." Shrimp said his tone was calm but with an undercurrent of anger at having to hold back.

"Really, we have to wait on treats? That sucks." Nightwing stated with a big grin. Making light of the situation to lessen it with their warden. The shrimp gave his version of a smile at the attempt at defiance.

"Well, aren't we talkative, Nightwing? What about you, Red Hood? Any comments to make?" The shrimp said clearly, eager for Red Hood to make some, not that any besides Batman knew why he wanted that exactly.

"Just thinking of all the different ways to kill a shrimp." Red Hood stated coldly while glaring at the shrimp man. He placed a happy chuckle at that, which was disturbing coming from his new shrimp body.

"Good, a bit more bloodthirsty than before, but just as much mouth on you as last we met." Shrimp Man said, shocking the three, as none of them had even heard of Shrimp Man, much less one working in Gotham. Seeing their shock at that confession, he chuckled once more, then spoke again. "I'll let you ask your dear Batman. Word of warning: trying to escape will get you killed." Shrimp Man said before leaving their cell.

"So who was he and how do you know him, Red Hood?" Nightwing asked, curious about this particular story, though before Red Hood could speak up and say he'd never seen him before in his life, Batman spoke, clearing up what was going on.

" He's the Kgbeast one of Russia's top and most ruthless assassin." Batman said clearly shocking the others as he was supposed to be dead for years now not some weird shrimp human hybrid. It was clear who ever brought him back had powerful abilities. They all thought on possibilities trying very hard to not ask the true question they knew that needed to be asked.
