What's next?

Offer them a drink

You give Lauren’s shoulder a gentle, playful nudge, helping her break out of her brief trance. She glances at you, her cheeks still a vibrant shade of pink, but the startled look in her eyes quickly melts into an amused, slightly resigned smile.

“Well, you definitely didn’t take a wrong turn if you’re looking for a break from the sun,” you say, leaning forward in your Adirondack chair with an easy, welcoming grin. “And don’t worry about trespassing. The grounds are yours to freely explore.”

Elena laughs, the bundle of wildflowers cradled casually against her bare hip as she steps closer to the porch. Chloe shifts her daypack, her eyes moving between you and Lauren with a bright, confident warmth. There isn’t a single trace of self-consciousness in how either of them stands before you, completely unclad and perfectly at ease under the summer sky.

“Come on up,” you invite, gesturing to the shaded porch and the empty chairs nearby. “We have a fresh pitcher of iced tea right here. I’ll grab a couple of extra glasses.”

“That sounds like heaven, actually,” Chloe says with a bright smile. She steps up the wooden stairs first, the heavy thud of her hiking boots contrasting beautifully with her completely bare, sun-kissed frame. As she reaches the top, she slips the canvas daypack off her shoulder, setting it down by the door before sinking into the chair right across from Lauren.

Elena follows close behind, offering the small bundle of wildflowers to Lauren with an affectionate, easy grace. “For the hostess,” Elena says softly, her eyes twinkling. “To make up for the surprise invasion.”

Lauren takes the flowers with a genuine smile, her initial shyness finally giving way to the relaxed, uninhibited vibe of the resort. “Thank you. They’re beautiful. And please, sit down, the summer heat today is intense.”

You stand up to step inside the cabin for a brief moment, returning with two more frosted glasses. As you pour the tea, your eyes naturally trace the gorgeous, natural lines of their bodies, fully appreciating the view under the dappled shade of the porch roof. Elena and Chloe sit completely unbothered, crossing their legs in the weathered chairs, leaning back to catch the mountain breeze just as you and Lauren had been doing moments before.

Chloe takes a long, slow sip of her iced tea, letting out a satisfied sigh before letting her eyes roam over your resort attire, then over to Lauren’s. A playful, challenge-filled smirk develops on her lips.

“You know, Mark, Lauren... this iced tea is incredibly refreshing,” Chloe says, leaning forward and resting her elbows on her bare knees, completely unconcerned with her exposure. “But looking at the two of you bundled up in those heavy fabrics while the mountain heat is like this? It just looks exhausting. Honestly, you’re the hosts, you shouldn’t have to suffer just for a dress code.”

Elena chuckles softly, shifting back in her chair and stretching her long legs out into a patch of sunlight filtering through the rafters. “She’s right, you know. Whispering Pines is supposed to be a sanctuary for personal freedom. It feels a little unfair that your guests get to experience the absolute bliss of the mountain breeze on their skin while you two are trapped in uniforms on your own private deck.”

Lauren blinks, her glass hovering halfway to her mouth as she looks between the two naked women, a fresh wave of warmth rising to her cheeks at the direct challenge.

Elena leans in, her eyes shifting to you with a knowing, teasing glint. “Come on, Mark. Lead by example. Lose the shirts. I promise we won’t tell the other guests that the management is letting their hair down.”
