She picks ...
Option one, betray Snape for Voldemort respect
Rose took a slow, deliberate breath, the air cold and sharp in her lungs. She let her gaze rise from her hands, her posture straightening with a newfound conviction that was both a performance and a terrifying kind of truth. She met Voldemort's red, reptilian eyes without flinching.
"My Lord," she said, her voice clear and steady, stripped of all its previous hesitancy. "You are a fool to trust him."
The words hung in the silent room, a blasphemy against the god of fear. For a heartbeat, the only movement was the rhythmic pulsing of the silver instrument. Then Voldemort's head tilted, a bird-like motion of sharp, unnerving curiosity. He did not roar. He did not curse. He simply watched her, a thin smile beginning to carve its way onto his lipless mouth.
"Explain," he commanded, the word a silken thread of steel.
"Snape is playing a long game," Rose continued, emboldened by his silence. "He came to my chambers, yes. He spoke of loyalty, of discipline. But it was a test. He was probing me, trying to see if the boy who lived, the chosen one was truly broken. He spoke of Dumbledore with a reverence he couldn't quite hide, a slip of the mask. He thinks me a simple, broken girl, that he can save. He told me about Lily. About the love that's supposedly driven him for all these years." She let a sneer, perfectly learned from Bellatrix, touch her lips. "He believes he can use me as a key, a way to destroy you while he plots with the old fool. He is not your loyal servant, my Lord. He is a serpent in your garden, and I have seen him clearly."
The memory of him begging Dumbledore to save Harry became evidence of a double agent's enduring guilt. She was giving Voldemort the very truth of Snape's allegiance, but framing it as a discovery, a revelation born of her own cunning and the Dark Lord's wisdom in placing her with Snape.
Voldemort let out a long, slow hiss of what might have been pleasure. He glided back to the window, staring out at the churning, stormy sky. "He told you of Lily... of course. Sentiment. The greatest weakness. I had wondered if it still held a grip on him. And you, my dear Rose... you have proven your worth. You have seen through the deception that has eluded me for years."
