You need to finish your quest first

You turn on your side to look at the man you made love to, but he is gone. You push yourself up and look around.
Oh, that’s right. He was just your sub-consciousness made manifest through the magic of the river. That means he never really existed.
For a moment you think about drinking from the river again, but since your consciousness already offered you its message, it probably won’t work again.

No matter, you now know your true desires. You pick yourself up and start walking down the stream. People often build villages near rivers to get a stable water supply. So if you just follow the river, eventually you will find either civilization, or a road. Then you can continue towards Gerlangen.

As you walk away, a figure with scarlet hair and blue eyes spies on you.
“Congratulations on becoming a mother, sweetie.” She says. “Be sure to rake good care of our child.”
Then the figure disappears into the forest, starting its search for a new victim.
