A pirate ship

Marco caught sight of a massive wooden ship heading toward him.

"I-impossible… Is that… a pirate ship?"

Marco was stunned by what his eyes saw. He desperately wished that what he was seeing right now was just an illusion or a hallucination. He had clearly spotted a pirate flag waving in the distance.

Pirates were very common in this era, but he had never seen any in person before. All he knew about them was that most were the scum of humanity and the most dangerous criminals.

Marco stared carefully at the ship’s flag, trying hard to recall if he had ever heard of these particular pirates.
