Extra Chapter: Meeting with the enemy

Chapter 73 by Somefucker123 Somefucker123

Tags: No sex, just some small talk and lore.

I had come to a small restaurant on the other side of town; it was something of a family restaurant from what I could tell, with a small clientele, people that were passing by just eating. I looked all over and noticed a woman with grey hair—hard to miss her when I have only met just one of them—and approached to talk to her. "Zup, where's my dad?"

"He is busy; I want to talk to you."

"So what is this, like a loyalty plan kind of stuff? Do you?" I snickered. "Are you testing me to see if I will suck my dad's dick and follow whatever orders he gives me or something?"

"Please sit down; let's talk."

"I prefer to stand."

"Really, I ordered some food for us?"

"Hmmm..." Well, the trip here did leave me kind of hungry; I sat down in place. "So what? You are wearing a wire; you do realize that I don't care about my dad."

"I am not here with your dad; I do not like to work for him either, but you despise these people as much as he does, but you do it in a way where you see them as inferior. I kind of do the same, so I thought, why not talk to the kid?"

"Cool, so what? What is this? A reunion of racists?"

"More like competent people; I do not hate japanese people because they are different, I despise them for their work ethics, so passive, so willing to let disaster happen, I agree with your views about heroism being tainted and weak and how the U.A. and all of Japan's heroes handled the war situation so poorly."

"Well, don't jerk me off so hard; I might fall for you."

"Can you take me serious for a moment here?"

"No? Because I am certain this is just a stupid test my dad is putting."

"Is there any way I can prove to you that your dad is not here?"

"Hmmmm, get naked?"

"Really funny. How about a way that doesn't include public indecency?"

"You are no fun."

"I am not sure what your definition of fun is, but you are very similar to your dad in that aspect."

"Hmmm, if you say a shit like that again, I will 100% leave."

"Also, why did you dye your hair blonde? Are you trying or not to look like your dad?"

"... You know what? Let's say I believe you. What do you want?"

"How's the hero recruiting and hero agency growing? Are you doing well?"

"Where does this question come from?"

"Just curious to see what you are up to."

"Well, it's going great. I have at least like 5 heroes on board, pretty sure, and 10 heroes that are a maybe in total."

"I see, and how many of those are willing?"

"Does it matter?"

"I do not care about the situation of these heroes; you could hurt them as much as you want, and I wouldn't bat an eye."

"Then around half are willing."

"Good... Do you happen to have someone... Smart with you?"

"Mei Hatsune and that rich pretty white girl... uuuuuuh, what's her name? I forgot. I fucked her recently... MELISSA, that white bitch."

"Hm, not the one I wanted, but it works."

"Sirli is my friend. She is pretty smart."

"I am aware, but I do not know her intentions. Instead, let me explain why I wanted to talk with you. Your father is about to receive pretty soon something that might revolutionize hero work as we know it and laws themselves; however, the only reason Japan didn't do it sooner is because of the public views and because if the government uses it, inside and outside of the country, it could be seen as a chemical weapon."

"So what are we talking about super mustard gas?"

"Funny. What if I tell you that you can delete quirks?"

"Like Eraser head? Easy to picture."

"Sure, but what if you could absolutely erase them, like, gone gone, forever?"

"I would ask why this has not been done before. All For One was—"

"Yeah yeah, ignore that, but apparently All For One was going to be executed; they just postponed it long enough for him to escape, really. Also, something about the punishment fitting the crime, and apparently for life it's better than death row."

"Oh yeah, let's leave the god-mega-evil-demon-quirked-up guy alive more; I wonder what could happen."

"Lots of things could've been solved by killing, but you know what they say." We then both said in unison, "Heroes don't kill."

"Yeah, yeah, I got that, so what about it?"

"Well, they had another idea about using this weapon to erase his quirk; the only issue was that their time and place to use it never ended up together at once, although we would've loved if it did, but Japan got his hands on a vaccine able to erase quirks."

"Pft, you are joking."

"Nope, there is plenty of data that they pulled out of Garaki's lab to be able to replicate it, or an experimental version, temporarily... For now... But they are stopping all procedures."

"Hm? Why?"

"Resources? Fear? It's a chemical weapon; it could be badly seen, so they are going to sell all that sweet info to the highest bidder in another country and wash their hands—usual government shady stuff. America sells weapons to eastern countries, Japan erases their history to look better, South America forgets all about the failed coup attempts that ended up in dictatorships, you know... the usual."

"Okay, so the last one is partially due to America as well."

"Point is, we need our hands on that vaccine."

"To start erasing villains? Yeah, that's fine with me, but what's the catch? Are you going to use the vaccine on me when the time comes?"

"Trust goes both ways, you know. I have no idea what you would do if you got your hands on it; for all I know, you would also use it on me."

"True, true... So what are we going to do now that I know that quirks can be erased?"

"We shall wait for the info to be leaked out, but until then I need you to prepare. I need two things of you: someone smart enough to continue the research without as many resources as they had and the second one being plenty of heroes."

"For the agency?"

"For the support, the more heroes on board with the idea of erasing quirks from villains, the easier it will be to normalize it. Sure, some leftists will start saying 'They first came for the villains and I did nothing; then they came for the robbers and I stole from the supermarket.' You know, like the poem? But it's a good way to start "solving" the world."

"So you genuinely want to do something good?"

"Do you not?"

"I want to do things... my way."

"Which means?"

"Making Japan better overall. Without the filth that plagues these streets and hero ranks."

"Then we are the same, just that I am sure you are more messed up than I am."

"Says you. I am sure you won't stop at quirk erasing, but hey, we can become enemies once our goals are achieved."

"Sounds like a nice deal for now." She extended her hand in an amicable way as I shook it; things were going to get interesting. "But why are you telling me this?"

"Because Adam will be the one who is going to get the anti-eraser-quirk drug or whatever. And you will need to find a way it doesn't fall in his hands, because he will either mass-produce it in black markets or sell it; we cannot have that thing running rampant."

"Huh..."

"What?"

"No, just... I agree for once. It's odd finding someone who is reasonable. I will see what I can do." I stood up.

"Wait, aren't you going to eat at least? Food's almost done."

"Nah, I want to spend time with someone tonight since I will probably be busy next week and such."

"... You are not dating any of the academia girls, are you?" I turned around to shoot a smug look.

"Well, who knoooows?"

"That's getting involved in a place you don't belong."

"Pft—so what? I will make her just like me, and then we can be happy forever and ever and after the tale is over and all that dumb stuff."

"I thought you hated them."

"Hmmmm, I also dislike dogs; doesn't mean I wouldn't love a pet. That's how it feels. Well, not really, calling her a dog is insulting; it feels like I could have a nice happy family for once."

"..." She stared down and up at me in utter confusion as my food arrived.

"Oh, that actually looks good. Sorry, can I have that to go? My friend here is paying."

"You cannot be serious; if she gets in the way, I swear I will…"

"She won't; in fact, I think I can convince her to help me. That's why I am smart—most of the time. Until then, see you around, crazy chick." I stood there waiting for a good while in silence.

"Aren't you leaving?"

"I uh—I actually want that food to go; it looked good."

"It's pretty good."

"Yeah yeah, I can tell."
