The trap worked, but...

Valerie slipped away from another one of Eva's attempts at grappling her. This time, however, she had led her opponent right where she wanted. As Eva moved forward, her leg tripped the taut wire cleverly hidden between the two trees. In a flash, a large net fell from the canopy, trapping her inside.

"Argh!" Eva screamed in frustration, struggling against the weight of the net; for Valerie had loaded its end with a bunch of heavy stones, along with some tiny hooks to latch onto Eva's suit. A normal person would have been flat on the ground - it was a testament to the suit's power that Eva was still standing.

Valerie let out a sigh of relief, letting herself breathe after what seemed like forever. Keeping out of enhanced-Eva's reach had been tiring, and she was dripping with sweat. Her bodypaint had almost entirely faded away from her body, leaving her glistening skin completely bare. Her stockings were ripped in several places due to the various branches and stones in the forest.

"It's over, Eva," declared Valerie. "Surrender, and I'll help you get out." There was no need for further hostilities, and Valerie had no qualms about helping her opponent, should she concede the contest.

To her surprise, Eva only laughed in response. "You think this is over?" she said, before grabbing a portion of the net and putting all her strength into tearing it apart. Her suit made some hissing noises, and Valerie thought she saw some threads come loose - but it worked. With a sudden surge of strength, Eva ripped a large hole in the net and managed to crawl through it.

Valerie quickly fled the scene before her opponent could catch her breath and come after her.

"Run as much as you want,", shouted Eva to the retreating Valerie. "You'll be mine soon enough."

Fuck me, thought Valerie. Her gambit had worked, but it still hadn't been enough. How on Earth was she supposed to beat that?
