Kitty calls Storm

Kitty looks on in horror, and then she realizes that the woman is Mystique!! As Kitty unphases to use her communicator, an impossibly large shadow drops silently down behind her. Claws smash the device to pieces, and a huge arm knocks Kitty into a tree. She slumps to the ground, dazed but still aware.

The creature reaches down to rip out Kitty's neck. Mystique calls out, "Sabertooth, help me carry this big lug to the tunnel before Logan wakes up. Magneto wants him, but not enough for a full-on war with the Xmen. Killing the girl or Logan starts that war." The blue woman reloads her gun, making sure she does it loudly.

The blonde murderer makes an inarticulate growl, but then trots over to pick up Richard, leaving Kitty alive.

Mystique is standing over Richard, bent over to pull out the dart gun needle. (Good girls bend at the knees: Bad girls bend at the waist!) Even through the ****, Richard's eyes are locked onto her chest.

Mystique stands straight, and Sabertooth hunches down to pick Richard up. Suddenly, both villans freeze, then slowly rise to stand at attention. Richard staggers to one of the stumps and sits down, looking very unsteady. "Whow, I don't know what is going on, but I am feeling NO pain!!" He looks up at the two, smiles, and says, "Wow, are you two dressed up for Halloween or something?"

He glances up and down Sabertooth and says drunkenly: "Yikes! Lion-man, you are the most nasty, vicious-looking man I have ever seen! Hey, do you like hunting? See that other hill WAY over there? There's a bear over there. You feel like a challenge! You want to go hunt that bear down, just using your BARE hands. No guns, knives or arrows, or even rocks. Yep, forget about us and track down that bear. Make sure it's a big one, as big and mean as you can find!

Sabertooth's face goes blank for a second, glances around, and then he turns to lope off on all fours to the other hill.

Richard smiles to himself, "Well, that should keep him busy for a while. I actually feel sorry for that bear."
