Chapter 968 by Exarch-of-Sechrima Exarch-of-Sechrima

And thus, we're set!

No one can blame you for walking away, but too much rejection, no love injection

“Gross… this is sooooo gross…” Ella grumbled as she kept pushing forward. Her shoes were practically being dragged off of her feet by the sticky, slimy black muck that covered the floor of the corridor. And if that wasn’t bad enough, not long ago she’d put her hand on the wall to balance herself when she’d almost tripped up, and what had happened? The stickiness was there, too.

There really was no escape…

“It’s fine,” she said to herself, taking another step forward.

She ignored the “SHLLLUUUUUURRRRRRPPPPPPPP!” sound of her shoe pulling free from the gunky ground.

“I’m just… just taking it slow, one step at a time… that’s right… it’s fine. This stuff can’t be everywhere. I just need to find my way out of here, and then I’ll- awwp!”

Her next step was hindered by the muck and she pitched forward, windmilling her hands like a madwoman. She went splat- facefirst into the slimy substance, which thankfully cushioned the fall so she didn’t smash right into the floor and knock all her teeth out.

Was she grateful for that?

“Ugh… fucking… biiiiiiiiitttchh…!” Cinder pushed her trembling body up off the slimy floor, ignoring the tug of the substance on her clothes. Her face was wet and sticky but the burning rage twisting her features was causing the slime to dry and peel off.

She dug her nails into the slime, scraping the stone beneath it.

“Let me OUUUTTTAAAAA HERE ALREADY!” She roared, her voice echoing across the corridors. She pushed herself to her feet and staggered forward, almost falling all over again. Pausing to catch her breath, she leaned against the wall, just for a second, and then, to her shock, she felt a rumbling beneath her arm.

“Eh?”

Cinder had barely enough time to blink before her elbow poked against one of the bricks and she felt it sink into the stone. The wall she was leaning against began to rumble and before she could react, it curved inwards, dragging her along with it as it flipped around, flinging Cinder into a parallel hallway and right in the path of a girl coming the opposite direction.

“Whoa! Hey, hold on a second!” Dani’s eyes widened like saucers when she suddenly saw a dark-haired girl flop out in front of her. In the dim light of the corridor, she could only barely make out the face of Cinder in the fraction of a second she had. She tried to slow down to avoid crashing into the other girl, but she was moving too fast.

The two slammed into each other and hit the ground.

“OH man… sorry…”

The first thing Dani noticed was that Cinder was soaked in a strange substance that seemed to be clinging to her clothes. She was able to pull herself free, but the sticky muck took a couple feathers with it as the two of them separated.

“…Cinder!” Dani crouched down to help the poor girl she’d accidentally run over. “Are you alright? Hey, I didn’t hit you that hard, did I?”

“Ooooh… ahn…” The dark-haired girl’s amber eyes fluttered open and she looked up at Dani with a vague expression of confusion that slowly gave way to muted understanding as she recognized the towering figure. Once she did she stiffened up straight and pushed Dani back, staggering shakily up to her feet.

“D-Dani!” Ella was back in control of her body now. She had no idea how long Cinder had been wandering the maze, it could have been as short as a few seconds, but that was the last thing on her mind right now. “Are you… …I’m sorry! I-I just crashed into you like-!”

“No, it’s fine, hey, don’t worry about it,” Dani assured her with a lopsided grin. “Trust me, we’re good! As long as you’re okay?” She was glad that she was dealing with Ella instead of Cinder. Ella was definitely the easier one to handle.

She assumed. Unfortunately, Dani and Ella had barely said two words to each other before now. Which made things a little awkward.

Ella was definitely feeling the awkwardness. Her fingers reached down to feel her rubber-band, which was sticky from the slime. But she could still snap it as easily as always with a “Thwap!” which soothed her nerves.

She took a deep breath and then looked up at Dani with a shaky smile on her lips.

“I-I’m fine,” she said, her eyes darting around to take stock of her surroundings. “I didn’t… I… …There’s not any slime on the floor, so I’m good now, really.”

Dani looked at the sticky girl and decided she didn’t want to know. Apparently not everyone had gotten as nice a start as she had.

“Well… again, sorry for running into you like that,” Dani said, scratching her feathery hair. The two girls stared awkwardly at each other.

Then Dani cracked a grin. “Hey! You wanna team up for a bit? It’d be a shame to just go our separate ways after running into each other like that.”

Ella’s eyes widened. “You… you mean it?” She asked. She barely knew Dani, but the tomboy was offering to help her out? …This wasn’t a trick or anything, was it?

“Sure thing,” Dani nodded. “We need to stick together, don’t we? Dakota said it herself, we’ll need to work as a team!”

Ella bit her lip. She flashed back to the last challenge and a flicker of uncertainty crossed her face. “…I don’t think that’s a good idea,” she said sincerely, shaking her head. “I teamed up with Rose and Vivian in the last challenge, remember? And… I betrayed both of them…”

Sure it had been Cinder who did the actual betraying, but Ella still felt bad about it.

Dani scoffed. “Eh, whatever,” she said, waving her hand. “It was a challenge, that kind of stuff is normal. You think I’d hold a grudge if you did the same to me? No way! Gina betrayed me way worse than you betrayed those two, and I’m not foaming at the mouth over it!”

She gave Ella a genial smile that made the short-haired girl blush. Dani was really reassuring, even if Ella still felt nervous.

“O-okay, then,” she said, finally. “If… if you want to…”

She awkwardly stuck out her hand for Dani to shake it, to cement their alliance.

Dani didn’t take her hand though.

“Uh… maybe we wait to do that until after you dry off a little,” she suggested, glancing at Ella’s sticky palm.

Ella blushed even deeper and retracted her hand, nodding sheepishly. Awkward…

Aw! How sweet! An alliance! Well, who’s going to be the leader of this little alliance, and who’s going to be the follower?

Sylvia had made it out of the glass room without much hassle. Slow and steady definitely won that race! Only problem was, now that she didn’t have any glass to ground herself, she was completely in darkness, walking down the corridor without so much as a candle to lead the way.

“Does anyone have a glowing transformation or something I could borrow?” Sylvia mused aloud, even though she knew that wasn’t the case. “That would sure help… even just seeing in the dark would be nice.”

Alas, she couldn’t get that lucky. So all she could do was keep walking through, and hoping she’d come across something new.

A scuffle on the ground caught her ear and she turned, peering into the darkness. “Hello? Anybody there?” She called, cupping her hands over her mouth. “It’s Syl-viaaaaaaaa! If you’re a contestant, I’m right over here, my girl!”

She paused.

“…But if you’re an obstacle, you can stay right where you are!” She said playfully. “It’s fine, I’m good on my own!”

Whatever it was that she’d just heard, contestant or scary maze monster, Sylvia was fairly confident that she’d got their attention. She headed in the direction of the sound… and smacked right into a wall that she’d failed to see in the darkness.

Whoops.

Using the wall as a guide, Sylvia fumbled her way through the corridor. She made sure to make plenty of noise, so that whoever was nearby could hear her. Maybe that wasn’t the brightest move around, but hey- the hallway wasn’t exactly that bright, either!

…Well, whatever. Sylvia wasn’t worried. She might as well get the “challenge” part of this challenge out of the way first, right?

She kept going, and as she walked, using the wall as her guide, she started to hear something that made her sure she was heading in the right direction.

Tiny whimpers and sobs, like those of a little girl.

Her heart sunk in her chest. Was there a child in this maze somehow? Immediately Sylvia dismissed the possibility, knowing that absolutely could not be the case. Dakota would NEVER allow something like that, never!

…So who was it that was crying?

Sylvia headed in the direction of the tears, determined to find out what was going on. As she got closer and closer to the source of the sound, she hoped that the corridor would brighten. But no such luck.

Then the wall she was caressing gave way, splitting out into what Sylvia could tell was a wide chamber. Even without her eyes adjusting to the darkness, she could tell by all the empty space around her that this was one of the rooms in the maze.

And the sobbing had gotten louder.

“H-hello?” A shaky voice called out from deep in the darkness. “Are… are you there? Please… he-help me…?”

She sounded so scared and alone. Sylvia recognized the voice immediately and her heart sank in her chest.

“Vivian!” She called at the top of her lungs. “Are you here? It’s me, Sylvia! I’m right here, don’t worry! Vivian?”

“S-Sylvia?” The voice hitched in the air, relief flooding the corridor and letting Sylvia relax. She couldn’t see the heiress, but she could feel the overwhelming joy that the other woman was emanating with every breath she took.

“I’m right here, Vivian,” Sylvia said, even louder. “I can’t see you since it’s pitch black in here, but don’t worry, I’m right here. If you need some help, I- UWAAAAAH!”

Cold, clammy fingers wrapped around her exposed leg, followed quickly by a pair of arms that clung tightly to her lower body like a koala.

Vivian had quite a grip on her.

“Don’t leave me alone!” The shadow-covered girl wailed from below her. “I can’t stand it! It’s so dark… save me, Sylvia! Octavia! Grannyyyyy!”

“Hey, Vivian, shh, it’s okay!” Sylvia crouched down (as best she could with Vivian locked around her legs like a vice, anyway) and patted the brunette on the head. It took a few tries in the darkness but eventually she found her. “Don’t worry, I’m right here. I’m right here…”

Vivian sniffled loudly and tightened her grip. “Sylviaaaaa…”

Sylvia couldn’t help but smile. Normally, Vivian was fearless and unshakable, but- here she was, wailing her pretty little eyes out. She felt bad for the poor girl… but Sylvia was here now. And she could be brave for the both of them!

Then the chamber was flooded with light, so suddenly illuminated that Sylvia went blind for a moment.

“Agh!” Sylvia shielded her eyes quickly, taking a step back out of instinct, or trying to, at least. But with Vivian clinging to her all she managed to accomplish was losing her balance, and her butt plopped right into the other woman’s face.

The two landed in a heap, with Sylvia sitting on top of the heiress and feeling quite ashamed of doing so in the process.

…Well, she would have, if she felt shame about anything. But that wasn’t the kind of woman Sylvia was really.

“You good?” She asked, her eyes adjusting to the new level of light. “Sorry for, uh…”

“I’m fine!” Vivian sprung to her feet, wrapping Sylvia tightly in a hug. “Thank you for coming, thank you, thank you, thank-!”

“Whoa, hey, don’t thank me too much!” Sylvia giggled, even as she relished in the other woman’s praise. “I was just passing through, seriously.”

While she comforted Vivian, who was still bawling her eyes out, she looked around the chamber they were in. it was wide and circular, like she’d anticipated, and a golden chandelier hung from the ceiling, currently flooding the room with intense light.

Looking up, Sylvia could see that some of the lights were flickering. No, make that all of them. Her heart sank in her chest.

“Okay, Vivian, I know you’re glad to see me, but we really need to get moving,” Sylvia said seriously. “If we stay here too long, the room’s going to fall into darkness again, so-”

She hadn’t even finished speaking, and Vivian had already let her go, and rushed to the opposite end of the chamber, beside the exit.

“Come on!” Vivian cried impatiently, looking over her shoulder. “Let’s get a move on! We need to get out of here!”

Sylvia pressed her lips together in an amused smile and nodded, following after the frightened girl. It was quite adorable how Vivian was trying to be brave while still being quite scared of the dark. It made Sylvia want to lend a hand.

Only problem was that while the room was still bright and illuminated, the hallway was not. And one glance down the dusky corridor had Vivian shaking.

“It’s okay,” she told herself, taking a couple of deep breaths. “I can do this… it’s okay… I’m not alone, Sylvia’s here with me… it’s okay…”

“That’s right, I’m right here,” Sylvia said, taking Vivian’s hand and giving it a squeeze. “Let’s find our way out of this place, okay?”

She let Vivian feel the warmth of her presence, and guided the shaking girl into the dark corridor. “Come on…”

Vivian followed her, slowly. “Hesitant” didn’t even BEGIN to describe the flood of emotions running through her right now. But Sylvia wasn’t bothered at all by the heiress dragging her feet.

She knew how hard this had to be for her.

“I’m sure if we keep going, we’ll find somewhere that’s lighter, and then you can be fine,” Sylvia promised.

“Th-that… that isn’t necessary,” Vivian mumbled. “It’s just the dark… I-I can handle it, I’m a big girl… big girls aren’t scared of the dark…”

Sylvia would have rolled her eyes if she thought Vivian could see it. The heiress was broadcasting “I’M AFRAID!” signals like a lighthouse in the fog. (Something she was very much hoping for right now, in fact.)

But Sylvia was fine with letting Vivian maintain her façade. She didn’t have anything against the heiress. If she wanted to maintain an image of bravery (unfitting as it might have been) Sylvia wasn’t going to stop her or throw a fit or anything of the sort.

She felt bad for the poor girl. If only there was something she could do to help her out…

“Hey, maybe we could use the map to find our way to somewhere brighter,” Sylvia suggested, turning and looking back at Vivian. They were far enough away from the light of the chamber that the two girls could barely make out each other’s faces.

Vivian swallowed. “W-well… m-maybe…”

Who should orgasm to guide the way? Whoever does will get a nice little bonus!

Whoever created swamps could go and fuck themselves.

That’s what Rose felt from the bottom of her heart as she migrated through the marsh, trying to find her way out of this place with as little inconvenience as possible.

That meant staying far away from the water.

And the mud.

And the tall grass.

Basically, avoid anything that could even remotely gross her out.

You know, something impossible.

“I might be a fan of the movie... but that doesn’t mean I wanted to see the Bog of Eternal Stench myself, damn it!” Rose cursed.

She hated it here. This was the worst challenge she’d ever done, and it hadn’t even been twenty minutes yet! Awful!

It didn’t help that she had absolutely no fucking idea which direction she was supposed to go in this stupid place, either. What a fucking terrible situation! This was supposed to be a maze, wasn’t it? And yet it didn’t feel like a maze at all, she was fucking outside!

A lightbulb lit up over her head as realization struck her.

“Oh yeah… that’s right…” Rose mused, tapping her chin thoughtfully. “This is part of the maze… yeah… so if I want to find the way out…”

There was a simple method to do so. Dakota had told them all about it!

To find her way through the maze, all Rose would have to do was achieve orgasm! She could give herself an orgasm!

…Well, she was physically capable of it, anyway. Looking around, though, she found it a little hard to spot anywhere that she could reasonably get started on that. The idea of masturbating in the middle of a murky, icky swamp…

She couldn’t bring herself to do it. It was SO GROSS! Rose couldn’t see a single spot where she would want to start touching herself! It was all so… …Gross!

Yeah. Gross.

But did she really have any other choice? She had to get started if she wanted to move ahead, so she spread her legs awkwardly and slid her hand up her sky blue dress, and got to work.

She’d barely even gotten started when the waters of the bog beside her began to churn, and something erupted from within their depths, eliciting a startled scream from Rose’s lips.

What’s going to happen to Rose?

Dakota looked warily at Mr. S out of the corner of her eye. The producer was impossible to read, unfortunately. But she hoped that she was appealing to his twisted perspective. It was all she could hope for, really.

“Well… this is certainly a promising start,” Mr. S mused, tapping his chin thoughtfully. “But I think… one more poll might be helpful. Just to spice things up. But I’d hate to interfere with your challenge, Dakota! Do as you please.”

The threat was obvious and it brought a grumble from Dakota’s lips. “…Of course, sir,” she muttered, and came up with one more poll.

Which two girls might need a helping hand?
